I, Robot is the most recent of the three films and is about Detective Spooner (Will smith) trying to work out how Dr. Alfred Lanning (James Cromwell) died. The film opens with a description of the three laws of robotics that say that a robot cannot harm a human being, it must obey all commands unless it conflicts with the other two laws and that i can defend its self unless it conflicted with the other two laws.

This dvd box set is great if you like si-fi thrillers. this box set consists of three great films.

The film opens with a description of the three laws of robotics that say that a robot cannot harm a human being, it must obey all commands unless it conflicts with the other two laws and that i can defend its self unless it conflicted with the other two laws.

Then the opening scene is Will Smith singing in the shower "superstition" which is the sound track to the movie. The film is all about Will Smiths struggle to prove that one of the robots did actually kill Dr Lanning. Robots carnt feel emotions but Dr Lanning the founder of USSR the robotics company that makes the robots created one that could and he was called Sonny and was played by Alan Tudyk.

Sonny was at the hart of the investigation and Will smith spent the entire movie trying to prove he was guilty.

All in all it is a good film but not the best I have seen. On its own I would give it three stars.

The second film in the box set is minority report which stars Tom Cruse as Chief John Anderton the main character in the film. Steven Spielberg sets Minority Report in the near future of 2054, in which the technology is advanced, but not so much that its unbelievable.

This film is quite in depth and I am finding it quite hard to explain the film and what its about so for this film I will also give this film on its own three stars.

Last but certainly not least in the box set is the film Independence day which stars Will Smith as Captain Steven Hiller a army officer serving in the American army.

This film is about aliens from another planet coming to attack earth and the whole world fighting back. Suddenly the holiday independence day became a world wide event.

The final sentence of the President's speech was not in the original script and was added at the last minute for dramatic effect in an effort to convince 20th Century Fox not to avoid a legal battle to earn the right to name the film "Independence Day." without this line the film would not have been able to be called independence day.

for this film on its own I would give it a rating of five stars because of the plot, special effects and the performance of the actors.

I have given this box set a rating of Excellent as the films on their own arn't brilliant but as a collection in a box set they are great.
