Best of It's Kind - Buffy Move Over
Review of Blade DVD by Victoria

Advantages: brilliant plot and great acting
Disadvantages: very bloody

...I originally bought this film as the lure of both Stephen Dorff and Wesley Snipes was hard to resist. However this is definately the best vampire movie I have seen and believe me, I have seen quite a few. Blade (Wesley Snipes) plays a half vampire or "daywalker" out on the rampage killing all the vampires in sight. Stephen Dorff (Frost) is his counterpart as one of the head vampires. Wesley Snipes was absolutely brilliant, as was Stephen Dorff who is not only a believeable vampire, he also brings sex appeal to the film. There are a lot of blood and guts scenes in the film but only what you would expect and the soundtrack is brilliant. Look out for the first track of the film in the club scene which is now being played in clubs all over. The DVD also gives you extra scenes and an alternative ending which although wasn't as good... Review of Blade 2 (Wide Screen) by rich.lawson

Advantages: As good as (if not better than) the original
Disadvantages: None!

...Far from being just a sequel to the original. Del Toro has taken all the best things out of Blade, and made them darker, slicker and sexier. Wesley Snipes returns to the role of Blade in classic "I'm back and I'm a bad son of a vampire" style looking much cooler, and fighting with more funk than ever before. Blade is aided in this movie by his old friend Whistler (Kris Kristofferson) and a new technician by the name of Scud (Norman Reedus). The trio are summoned by the vampire overlord, and asked to work with the vampires to rid the world of a mutual enemy… The Reapers. There are a lot of excellent sequences that will absolutely blow your mind. The opening sequence of the movie is brilliant, with an in your face motorcycle fight, and the Matrix style of bullet time killings. The action sequences are second to none. They are flawlessly... Blade-Daywalker Vampire
Review of Blade DVD by mirrah

Advantages: All and every
Disadvantages: None

...with Vampires murdering his wife and kids. Finding that there is a cure for Blade's unusual condition and then rejecting it. finding new weapons to kill vamps. The list goes on and on. There's also plenty of humor thrown in. The soundtrack for this film is also excellent. I bought a copy of this film on DVD and all I can say is that it's the best film Wesley Snipes has done yto date, and he should make more of the hero genre type film. He could possibly become revered as the black Arnold Swarzenegger. I advise everyone to get this film. It has it all. Blood, soundtrack and brilliant fight scenes. A must see movie. A must own movie, if only to study the fight scenes time and time again. Hope you enjoy it as much as I still do. Now go buy it.... Read review
