Advantages: Makes you think, good story Disadvantages: complicated, not really enjoyable as such
...the back of a detective's car at the crime scene, we are shown the yellow police tape but little more at this point.
The film then follows the life and trials of the characters for 24 hours prior to the crash and the prejudices each and every one of them has. From the DA's wife automatically thinking any black man is about to rob her to the black carjacker who thinks he is above the law and holier than thou as he only steals from white people...their logic is astounding!
All the events happen in just 36 hours.
This film is about racism, but not just the normal white people against black; this deals with far more complex beliefs than that and shows everyone is as bad as each other in a way!
Crash shows that everyone has both a good and a bad side.
The rooky cop who takes the law into his own hands is also nursing his sick father...

Advantages: Good entertainment, decent performances, perfect brainless fun. Disadvantages: Parts of the film stretch credibility. Disappointing ending.
...INTRODUCTION
For a relatively new kid on the block, Shia LeBeouf seems to be cropping up in a fair few films these days. First he was being mothered by Carrie-Ann Moss in Disturbia, then hanging out with a bunch of robots and Megan Fox in Transformers, after which he was swanning about with aliens and that creaky old bloke with the whip and Fedora in the latest Indy instalment, and now he gets to spend a whole film in close proximity to Michelle Monaghan. Some guys get all the luck. I want his job. I was in the DVD store, casting about for a decent actioner to take home for the extended family to watch (my in-laws have a projector and I was looking for ?big screen? material for movie night) when Eagle Eye caught my attention. I don?t usually rent films without knowing anything about them, but the cover blurb was intriguing...

Advantages: Insightful, honest, gritty, great acting, unpredictable Disadvantages: Heart-wrenching as it should be
...she thinks are friends leaving her ironically with only those she has
looked down on for so long as dependable companions. This is a refreshing and outstanding performance by Bullock and one I expect her to be remembered for.
Matt Dillon - John Ryan
Dillon hasn't always played the most convincing parts but I was impressed with his performance in Crash. A particularly unpleasant, racist man who routinely abuses his position, in one case to molest and belittle a mixed-race woman at a routine stop, he is perhaps the least likeable character in this film. However, he manages to gain our sympathy and almost play the part of a hero as we see him fight against everything he believes to help his unlikely victim. We see a vulnerable side in Dillon as he helps his father struggle to the toilet in the middle of the night and again when after...
