This is a great girly film and with Kate Hudson who I think is a great actress what more can you want out of a film.
Andie played by Kate Hudson works for Composure magazine you typical magazine about fashion, beauty and men. Andie studied serious Journalism, so she is hoping this will help her to write a collection or more serious articles about politics.
Andie's friend at work has been dumped so she suggests that an article be written about how you can lose a guy in 10 day as it is something that all women should know about so they can avoid the fatal flaws in future.

Although they're not really my preferred genre of film to watch, there's something about the occasional romcom that makes me chuckle. It's not the plot, or the direction, or the music. It's the acting. To make me really like a romcom, there's got to be something special about the acting.
Here, in HowTo Lose A Guy In 10 Days, Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey square up as two people trying to win a bet. The prizes for both are huge. She plays Andie, a reporter longing for her boss to let her write on a topic she wants to. She'll get her wish, but first she has to write an article on howto successfully lose a day in 10 days, by making him hate you. Her target? Ben Barry, played by McConaughey. However, Ben has his own little task: he must seduce a random woman of his opponents' choice successfully for 10 days, no matter what ...

This is the story of an unlucky in love female journalist looking to make her way in the magazine industry. Tired of the usual heart and flowers, 'fluffy' love stories and type of articles being written she decides on her own alternative - a list of howto lose a guy in 10 days. She finds her subject, a prime target - typical high flying rich city guy - and sets to work at reeling him in and then, following her own ten step plan. Unfortunately, in the midst of all this, she falls in love with him.....
This is a great film to watch with girlfriends. A nice storyline, with a well thought out plot and the combination of a love story and some good laughs. A really good rom com. The scripting is good and not too obvious, it lets you guess what is going to happen without being predictable.
Definitely one for those who like a love ...
