The majority of all current titles play only in one specific region unless otherwise noted. Most DVDs sold by us (unless otherwise stated in the listing description) are encoded for Region 2 only and may not work on DVD players in other countries.
Currently, there are six global region codes that identify a DVD's compatibility with the players typically sold in that region, or with multi-region players.
The Regions are:
1: US, US Territories and Canada. 2: UK, Europe, Japan, South Africa, Middle East, Egypt, Greenland. 3: South-East Asia, East Asia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, Philippines, Indonesia. 4: Australia/New Zealand, Pacific Islands, Central and South America, Mexico, Carribean. 5: Former Soviet Union, Indian sub-continent, Africa, Eastern Europe, North Korea and Mongolia. 6: China. 7 & 8: Reserved for International venues (Airplanes, Cruise Ships etc). 0: No Region encoding (region free) therefore can be played by any player.
