After purchasing this DVD, i straight home to watch this film, thinking it would be absulutely awful.....but i found it rather entertaining! The poor acting, the poor special effects all add up to make this film stand out from the rest! Whether they set out to make this film look cruddy is another thing, but through the cruddyness this film was great!
A computer game company hires 3 eccentric computer programing "Nerds", by the names of Bug( Jason Marsden) Hardcore (Tyler Mane) and Sol (Karim Prince). Their aim is to help finish off a computer game previously built with a "Un-Scary" monster. The game itself is called "Evilution", which means the main monster boss has to be quite scary. Bug provides the sounds, Sol the programming and Hardcore the weapons. On one random night, the building where the geeks are staying is hit by lightning, which messes up the main frame while the work is backing up. This power surge brings the monster to life in the metal mainframe used to program moves, previously modelled in a "nasty nude" scene with a quite leggy laddy with saggy knockers...not a pleasent site! honestly! The alive monster then sets out to hunt and kill everyone in the building (5 in total...Bug,Hardcore,Sol, Supervisor and Intern). By savagly killing all 3 programmers, the Intern (Clea DuVall) brilliantly fights for her life against the supervisor (Peter Drummond) who attempts to steal the only copy of the evil monster for the game. The intern in the end is the last member standing, and manages to sell the game to a rival company.
This a great film with some hilarious one-liners, and i would recommend this film to all those wanting a laugh and not needing to concentrate word-for-word. And at the end of the day, "Would you kiss this face....."?
When a slight bit of nudity is the highlight of a whole film, you know it's dire. I recognised Jason Marsden from Eerie, Indiana (and yes, he still looked like Dash X) and Julie Strain (From US TV's Sex Court) before anyone even introduced her. I recognised Clea Duvall's Boyfriend from "That 70's Show" and I figured that I'd seen Hardcore possibly as a wrestler - he was Big Sky in WCW and also Sabretooth in X-men.
This is the story of a computer ... ...for their game, its doesn't sound very interesting does it? Well it does get better, they invite porn star Julie Strain to come in and be laser scanned as a character in the game wearing the actual outfit the character will wear (which If I'm honest leaves nothing to the imagination) so they've obviously never heard of textures maps then. While the firms main machine is working on the monster the building is hit by lightening which brings the monster ...

Advantages: Not to be missed, learn about the life of a killer! Disadvantages: Not for the faint hearted
Wow, after watching the televised documentary "Aileen: Life and Death of a Serial Killer", I was so shocked when I realised that the movie was to be released. I purchased it as I wanted to see how the documentary would relate in comparison to the film. This DVD actually shows 'The Making of a Monster' documentary: a UK exclusive! (22 mins) as an extra bonus feature.
With scenes of sex, violence, emotion, shock and horror, it was excellently produced by Clark Peterson and directed by Patty Jenkins. You can capture the emotion behind her attacks it's a really terrible story that needn't have happened.
The revelatory story is about Aileen Wuornos (Played by Charlize Theron), who is a prostitute. She was later executed in 2003 after being convicted of murdering six men in Florida, USA. While Aileen Wuornos confessed to all six murders ...

DVD Description
A software company is developing "Evilution," a new first-person computer game in need of a frightening, challenging villain. The company hires three antisocial computer geeks--Hardcore (Tyler Mane), Bug (Jason Marsden), and Sol (Karim Prince)--who work in an expansive, labyrinthine computer lab. A one million dollar bonus spurs on the competition between them, and intern Laura (Clea DuVall) and company rep Drummond (Steven Culp) referee the competition. One night, during a storm, lightning brings to life the motion capture suit used to program the game's movements. With characteristics of each of the programmers' creations driving it, the monster--believing it is playing the game--begins stalking the team around the lab. HOW TO MAKE A MONSTER first appeared on Cinemax as part of the CREATURE FEATURES series, which remakes 1950s monster films from Samuel Arkoff's American International Pictures.
