House of wax is a completely different kind of horror film. The film was exciting and thrilling with a different plot compared to other horrors. Horror films to me are mainly the same; you always have a very simple plot, which usually ends of the master plan of some weirdo who was abused in childhood dead. They also include a very hot young cast, now I am not complaining about the casting choices, however the simple plots really make the film boring and very unexciting. The plot of this horror is a group of friends on their way to a college football game falls prey to a pair of murderous bothers who were abused as children. The brothers were born as Siamese twins, connected together at birth. However after they reached a few years old the brothers was disconnected from each other, leaving one very scarred. The two brothers become also second best to their mother and fathers business, making a museum of wax. However after their mother and father die they tale full advantage of using other people’s bodies to create a even bigger attraction, a town full of wax. The 6 teenagers taking a road trip to a college football game camp out on a field to wait till the morning before driving again. Carly Jones (Elisha Curthberth) and her bad boy twin brother (Chad Michael Murray), her boyfriend Wade (Jared Padalecki) and her friend Paige (Paris Hilton) and her boyfriend Blake (Robert Richard) and Dalton (Jon Abrahams).During the night, Wade’s car breaks down, leaving two teenagers to try and find the nearest garage to fix the car, while the other carry on and travel on to the game. They do find the nearest town, with help of a weird man, and they soon realise that the town has been abandoned. Now they are the main attraction for the two murderous brothers, who wish to do to them what they have done to the rest of the town, turn them into wax coated corpses. The group have to find out what out before they become permanent exhibits in the house of wax.
The casting was almost completely a good choice for me, I really enjoyed the performances of Elisha Cuthbert, and however some of the other casting choices were completely pathetic. I am not a big fan of Paris Hilton, not merely for the bad performances, or the reason she was made famous but for the example she sets for every teenage girl. Her performance was ridiculous; I do believe that she cannot act. The reason that she was even then the film was to appeal to young teenage girls and boys. Similar, Chad Michael Murray was placed into this film for that reason, but I believe that he is a positive role model, and quite frankly fit. Sorry to offend people who may like Paris Hilton, even if that is the case, some people will have to agree she can’t act. Her dancing performances in lacy red underwear were the best skill she has.
I really enjoyed Elisha’s performance, especially playing the good twin of Chad Michael Murray’s. the rest of the casting choices, were really exceptional, they all suited the characters, which I believe made this film more remarkable. The other main castings include:

The film lasted approx 113 minutes, which I found to be a real downfall to the film, as it lasted too long and started to become boring. The certificate for the film in the UK was 15. I thought that this was sensible, however there was a lot of deforming within the film, which may offend some people, and a hit of sexual dancing. The company that produced the film was Warner Bros Pictures. I would recommend this film to everyone, and recommend to buy. This film is completely different to other horrors, which is really enjoyable.
