The first time I watched this I thought it was fiction I had no idea that it was a true story and couldn't believe it when someone told me that it was. It follows the story of Paul Rusesabagina who uses bribes and persuations to save over 1,200 Tutsi civilians during the Rwandan Genocide who were being slaughter by extremist Hutu militias.
This film is not for the lighthearted as it shows some awful and shocking scenes but that is the main point of the film to show the world what they pretended was not happening in 1994 and some of the horrors they let happen.
Don Cheadle's performance is excellent and it is a fantastic movie. It educates consumers on the Rwandan Genocide and shows what one great man did with all his heart to save good people.
A definite buy on DVD unless you a very lighthearted in which case it may not be a good purchase.
