Being a very sensitive story, the world waited for this DVD to be released in fear of the story it would tell. The movie was fantastic. Set In Rwanda amid the genocide crisis this is a story of a beautiful country corrupted by needless violence.
The Hutu prime minister's plane is shot out of the sky by tutsi rebels, sparking a mass genocide in which hundred's of thousands of tutsi's are exterminated purely for their origin.
Its a story of survival and willingness to hang on in the hope of help from the western world, who sit back care for their own and abandon the country to self disolve. A man trying to save the life of hundred's around him by turning a small rwandan hotel into a shelter for the homeless tutsi's, despite being a target for the hate filled hutu's.
An emotionally draining film, that I won't forget in a hurry. Maybe not quite the standard of some of my favourite's but the movie will leave an everlasting scarr on my mind due to its true story line of horriffic modern day injustice.
