I went to watch Hotel Rwanda as it had been in my DVD collection for a couple of weeks and there nothing else on TV. I was not expecting much, but I now have a new favourite film. Don Cheadle is amazing as the lead character and Nick Nolte supports him well.
The story outlines how one man saves hundreds of persecuted people from the mass genocide of one half of Rwanda. Thankfully, the story does not centre on the bloodshed and slaughter that occured but the struggle of the people. This ensured the goriness did not overcome the story. The film really opened my eyes to the atrocities of the Rwandan civil war and was certainly worthy of the oscar nominations. This film is an absolute must see.

I see you've posted this as a DVD review, but you've not mentioned the DVD. Are there any extras? If so, what are they and are they any good? If you add to this, or if you change it to be posted as a "Film Only" review, which can be done by accessing "edit review" in the top right of the review and changing the drop down menu under the "Which format are you reviewing?" question at the bottom, please let me know and I'll re-rate.

An amazing eye opener of a film, but it needs alot more information to justify it in a review. Jess x
