When i saw the adverts for Hot Fuzz on the TV i thought the it looked ace, really funny and original. Now that i have bought it on DVD and watched the whole film from start to finish, i realised that the adverts only showed the good parts of the film. It features a copper from London (Simon Pegg) who is used to high octane police work like armed robberies and drud raids, but his girlfriend leaves him because he cares about nothing but his job and doing it properly. He then, after years of service in London gets promoted to Sergeant, but to his disliking, he must move to Sandford which is a quiet country village. His first night there he arrests a lot of underage kids in a pub and what seems to be a local drunk of a man. This man turns out to be a copper himself and his new partner (Nick Frost). I wont ruin the film by telling you the rest, except that the film isnt really that exciting until the last half of an hour. One dissapointment however was that lots of the comedy aspects were exactly the same as the duos last film Shaun Of The Dead. However in spite of this i would recommend this film to people to buy based on the comedy parts, but i think people who havn't seen Shaun Of The Dead will find it more funny than those that have. Buy It And See What You Think.

I see you've posted this as a DVD review, but you've not mentioned the DVD. Are there any extras? If so, what are they and are they any good? If you add to this, or if you change it to be posted as a "Film Only" review, which can be done by accessing "edit review" above the review and changing the drop down menu under the "Which format are you reviewing?" question at the bottom, please let me know and I'll re-rate.
