Screaming fun

Advantages: In-jokes
Disadvantages: Weaker than previous Scream films

Scream 3 is the third outing for the popular Scream films, directed by Wes Craven, in 2000. This film follows on from the previous film and sees Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) living in a deserted mountainside cabin. She is trying to get away from the trauma of the murders at Windsor College and is now working as a counsellor for women in distress. However when she hears about the murders on the film set of Stab 3 and that a picture of her dead ...
...are a fan of the Scream films, then you will love this, but otherwise it may be a bit difficult to follow some of the references to past films. I like the self aware references to trilogy films and the rules of horror films in general. Wes Craven has directed a film that does justice to the horror genre. ...

It shouldn't be an 18!!!!!!

Advantages: A lot of parodies
Disadvantages: A lot of parodies

...the director of the 1st Scary movie. He is also an actor, Comedian, Writer and Producer. So basically he is multi-talented. He hasn't directed many recent ones only 2 that I didn't really enjoy watching and that is "White Chicks" and "Little Man". I'm not sure I'm enjoy watching his films, only Scary Movie, I enjoy! Cindy Campbell is played by Anna Faris. She really famous and can be seen in lots of films, I would say she's becoming not only a more ...
...This Film, "Scary Movie 3", Scary Movie 4", "My Super Ex-Girlfriend", "Brokeback Mountain" & "The House Bunny". She is a really good actress because I've watched a few of those films and I barely recognise her, let alone imagine her being a totally different character. She played Cindy brilliantly! The other actors and actresses are seen in most of the scary movie films and in different films, and you may glimpse them in some other films, however ...

Confusing and ridiculous.

Advantages: Actors, set, period costumes
Disadvantages: Everything else

The storyline to this film is bizare. Basically there is an isolated village which looks to be set a hundred or so years ago, even though the film is set quite recently. The whole village is surrounded by a wood, and everyone in it believes that the wood is filled with terrible creatures who will not allow them to enter. The viewer later finds out that the whole thing is a giant lie made up by some technology hating old people in an attempt to create ...
...a no-fly zone around it. The film also tries, and fails, to perform a temporary 'the creatures are real' twist involving a mentally retarded man stealing one of the costumes and attacking a blind woman. The special effects were hit and miss, the village set and costumes were impressive, but when you saw the creatures for the first time they were quite obviously men in costumes, with their warning to the villagers being red paint on some doors in ...

A decent sequel

Advantages: Innovative and good script
Disadvantages: none

When Scream was released in 1996, I was very impressed by the satirical and self-referential style of the film. However I was sceptical when the sequel, Scream 2 was released in 1997, as I thought it was straining the idea to make additional films. Scream 2 follows on two years after the events in Scream and sees Sidney (Neve Campbell) and Randy (Jamie Kennedy) trying to lead a normal life after their traumatic experiences in Woodsboro. While attending ...
...seeing stars who are big names now, playing small roles in this film, such as Heather Graham and Sarah Michelle Gellar. It is a nice idea having a film within a film and things don’t get complicated, which is good. Fans of Scream will be pleasantly pleased with this film. ...

MR FUNNY SHOES IS BACK.....

Advantages: Better than I expected...
Disadvantages: ... but not much!

...harmless as she thought…. Mimic was in itself a fairly entertaining movie. Although it was clear from the outset that the film was going to be a monster movie, it took some time for the audience to discover what type of creatures were involved and conceptually the genetic mutations were very effective. The mimic idea was introduced in the way that the creatures mimicked wild insects that are known to evolve to form exoskeletons in the image of their ...
...things further. In essence, Mimic 2 is very similar to the first movie in that it is largely the story of a disparate group of individuals being stalked through the dark corners of New York’s underbelly. There is no real explanation of how the Judas Breed has survived the assault from the climax of Mimic, but this in itself isn’t really a problem – you just kind of accept it. That aside, I was rather disappointed to find that the makers hadn’t explored ...
