Those Damned Kids.
Advantages: Reminds me my kids aint so bad
Disadvantages: original was much better
As i realy enjoyed the original 1960 version i thought i'd give this one the once over.
Based on the story The Midwich Cuckoo's by John Wyndham,

Dreamscape - Will you sleep after this?
Advantages: storyline - right mix of action and plot.
Disadvantages: dated soundtrack
I remember watching dreamscape when I was in my teens on Betamax, and loved it. I am not a horror film fan and at first glance this may seem like a horror movie, but it isn't really.
For me, this is the film that Dennis Quaid made his name and although I was too young back then to really appreciate that, when I was older and saw him in other films, I would think "hey, its that guy from Dreamscape"

exorcist trilogy
Advantages: First film was great
Disadvantages: Third film not as good as expected
...girl whom was possessed by the devil. The film which was previously banned thanks to the church made a big impact on the public when it was originally released.
The girl becomes possessed in the first film, the church becomes involved in order to rid her of the demon. She survives and then goes on to make a second film years later after the first film caused a nervous breakdown for the young actress.
The second film takes place four years later. ...
...cult of the locusts. This was a great film but not as heart stopping as the first.
The third film is about the young priest from the first film whom was posessed by a serial killer who was executed at the same time as the original exorcism was taking place.

Bergman Gets Creepy!
Advantages: art film, foreign classic, horror, symbolism, haunting, posession
Disadvantages: none
There is nothing on earth more perfect than an Ingmar Bergman film, and this one is certainly NO exception. If anything, I'd say this is one of the best films in his whole catalog. Certainly a beautiful introductory film into the wonderful, artistic, delicious world of Bergman films. In film school you are quickly introduced to him through his major cinematic classics like "The Seventh Seal," "Cries and Whispers," "The Virgin Spring," and my personal ...
...forever when he appeared in the 40s with his first movies. What some film students and lovers of foreign cinema might miss are smaller, lesser-known films like this one. Thankfully MGM released a box set of some of the Bergman films he made during his "down time" and his "exile years," (you know, when Bergman decided he hated Sweden and moved to Germany in protest, made a couple movies that were nowhere near his normal style, and then moved home?)

Scorpion King cooks up a storm!
Advantages: Great adventure
Disadvantages: Let down by some bad special effects work
Following the success of the 1999 remake of the 1932 film The Mummy, the cast and crew teamed up again two years later to make The Mummy Returns. Director Stephen Sommers took the helm again and gave us even more action than the first film with some impressive special effects and a thumping cast.
