Anyway, we met up to watch a DVD and as usual I was to choose, because she has seen practically everything anyway and I'm actually quite indecisive - so she gets to influence me into choosing something she enjoyed! Having escaped from the house on Haunted Hill some years before, Sara is found dead, having apparently committed suicide. With a selection of well-known actors giving good performances, it approaches molecular biology from an experimental and hormonal point of view, and gives what is quite a frenetic and intense hour and a half.
Sebastian Caine is an incredibly gifted molecular biologist, obsessed with trying to perfect the development of complete invisibility. Victor Salva's Jeepers Creepers had one thing that this sequel could not: the fear of the unknown. JC2 follows straight on from the first film, chronologically, and is a horror film not to be taken lightly.
The film opens as a farmer and his sons are out working in the fields when one of the scarecrows suddenly sprouts wings and flies off with the youngest son. The scene then flicks to a school bus, returning a group of basketball players and cheerleaders ... ...the first. I suppose it would help, but there is nothing stopping you enjoying and understanding this any more than someone who has seen the first one before. Jeepers Creepers 2 is currently airing on Film4, and is available on DVD as long as you have a look around. Recommended. ...

...murders begin again...... My Thoughts - - - - - - Following reviews that I have read I really wasn't sure what to expect. I didn't see this in 3D which is a shame and I would have like to. I really love a good horror film, and while I wouldn't say this is a great horror film - it is ok. I enjoyed it, liked the twist at the end, it was unexpected, but on the whole it could have been better. I have not seen the original and from what I have read it ... ...as horror films go. It is very gory which works in this film. It is cheesy and doesn't really take too much thinking, but who's to say that is a bad thing - not me. It is actually quite refreshing to have a traditional cheesy horror film - these days horror flicks can be very intellgent, this is basic and goes back to some of the 80s horror genre classics with he added bonus of it being in 3D. ...
