Overblown and gothic fun

Advantages: Brilliant performance by Gary Oldman
Disadvantages: Terrible performance by Keanu Reeves

Bram Stoker would have been amazed if he knew that the stories his mother told him while he was sick in bed, would grow into one of the biggest myths and moneyspinners of the 20th century. Coppola's film is a gothic, sumptuous and rather overblown version of the novel. He's Behind You... Again!

Advantages: Funny, scary at times, tension
Disadvantages: Lacks the atmosphere the first film had, unintetionally funny, becomes a bit silly

Comedy, Horror and Romance all mixed into one great film

Advantages: Fun and engaging wih Jenny Agutter in a nurses uniform

Tremors

Advantages: Good humorous movie with a silly creature
Disadvantages: a bit sloppy on the special effects

...as the reason for the tremors around the desert are unearthed, leading to one of the weirdest creatures ever to grace our screens. The acting is a bit questionable and the special effect team need to go back to school but if you don't take the movie as a true thriller/horror, more a comedy/thriller type, then this can be an entertaining movie all round. Advantages: nice story
Disadvantages: very very very long!
