Saw Trilogy Review
Advantages: Great price, 3 great movies, Gore fans will love it!
Disadvantages: None- I loved it.
...these are must see movies. Saw trilogy remarkably reworks the horror genre by adding a plot that is genuinely unique and keeps you guessing until the very end. There is no holding back when it comes to scene sheer violence and terror on screen as wrong doers are tortured.
The strange part is that the killer in the movies does not think he is a killer, he believes that he is helping the victims. The people he tortures have all done something wrong ...
...to play a terrifying game to realise there errors and live better lives. The trap/death scenes are unique in each movie and will live you hiding behind your sofa. It's a must watch to see these scenes alone.
A great addition for any gore fan. "Do you want to play a game?" ...

The Hammer Collection Box Set
Advantages: An aesthetically pleasing collection
Disadvantages: Some rather poor inclusions
...of classic Hammer films from the very good to...not so good. An aesthetically pleasing set for fans of the studio, or those wanting at least half of the titles. Features star favourites Peter Cushing, Raquel Welch, Ursula Andress and Christopher Lee (about whom there is an interesting documentary with 'Scars of Dracula').
The extra features vary greatly, the biggest ommission, in my opinion, is the total absence of subtitles for the hearing impaired.

...some for the first time, and completely uncut.
My personal favourite was the inclusion of the 1965 film 'The Nanny' which stars a very chilling Bette Davis in a well scripted, and often overlooked role.
Probably a tad overpriced for most, but new DVD versions of individual films are also available, so take a look at some of those if you don't want to commit yourself to a full collection. ...

Scary Movie Is Good
Advantages: a good movie and allright cast
Disadvantages: The Special Effects
Scary Movies is a good movie to see. Therese laughter is the movie from the beginning to end. Scary Movie is a spoof movie about all the horror, action, of movies that was good or bad that year. There cast line up is OK the Wayne brothers in the movie was the ones to bring the movie out more. The special effects in the movies was not the best but it's not the worst. The story line in the movies is good they really but the movies into there movie. ...

Confusing and ridiculous.
Advantages: Actors, set, period costumes
Disadvantages: Everything else
The storyline to this film is bizare. Basically there is an isolated village which looks to be set a hundred or so years ago, even though the film is set quite recently. The whole village is surrounded by a wood, and everyone in it believes that the wood is filled with terrible creatures who will not allow them to enter. The viewer later finds out that the whole thing is a giant lie made up by some technology hating old people in an attempt to create ...
...a no-fly zone around it. The film also tries, and fails, to perform a temporary 'the creatures are real' twist involving a mentally retarded man stealing one of the costumes and attacking a blind woman.
The special effects were hit and miss, the village set and costumes were impressive, but when you saw the creatures for the first time they were quite obviously men in costumes, with their warning to the villagers being red paint on some doors in ...
