'No, I am well, it is you who are dead!'
Advantages: hilarious - if you like black comedy, lots of Shakespeare, the inimitable Vincent Price Disadvantages: very few
...the grand style of acting. Theatre of Blood was made at the same time that the National Theatre was being built (and a stage version was in fact performed at the National last year).
Visually it's a very bleak film, and some people might find the Shakespeare, even in this context, heavy going, but it's definitely worth seeing. ...

Price once again a class camp act
Advantages: The Price Is Right Disadvantages: To some a bit dated
Every now and then in the early 70`s someone would employ Vincent Price and place him in picture that fitted him like a pair of comfortable slippers this along with Theatre Of Blood and to a less extent Dr Phibes Rises Again is such a film
Price plays Dr Phibes a concert musician turned mad with grief due to a group of surgeons messing up at his beloved wifes surgery leaving her for dead
Phibes turns to the good book for ideas and begins to despatch ... ...The support class includes Joesph Cotton, Hugh Griffith and Terry-Thomas and all enter into the spirit of the movie well
One critism I would have of the DVD is that extra wise this is a non starter with only a theatrical trailer on show apart from the scene selection and language options. My advise to you if you are a fan of this movie is maybe wait and see if a special edition pops up at some point. But if you are viewing for the first time this ...

2 out of 3 ain't bad
Advantages: A Bucket of Blood and House on Haunted Hill Disadvantages: The Ghoul
A Bucket of Blood is one of my favourite classics. An enjoyable 'Wax Museum' genre that takes a slightly different approach. This time, the artist is actually very slow witted and has no talent, as you will see. He works at a coffee shop full of poets and art buffs and wants so desperately to join their world. So, one thing leads to another, and, if your familiar with the genre, you know how it goes. House on Haunted Hill is one of the great classics ... ...horror or is it murder-mystery. To answer that question, i would have to spoil it. So, watch and find out for yourself, you won't be dissappointed.
Unfortunately, The Ghoul is probably one of Karloff's worst. Karloff is one of my favourites, but he doesn't really act in this one. The story is very slow, and doesn't build up to anything all that shocking. Just some ancient Egyptian Mummy curse, some rich guy trying to be immortal. Nothing I haven't ...

3 Classic Horror Movies from the Past
Advantages: Engaging Story Lines Disadvantages: Lack of special effects due to production period
...the genre of horror, these 3 classics can bring enjoyment to all those that appreciate horror of high quality. With the use of compelling storylines and gruesome images, the viewer is left always anxious at what would come next - that's how true horror began to develop. Through these elements, those who watch it forget the fanciful special effects that present day cinema offers and is taken in by this collection's creative brilliance.
All 3 movies ... ...plot lines and cinematic professionalism. "Little Shop of Horrors" focusses more on the "horrible" part of horror movies, whereas "The Bat" proves as having more of a psychological effect on the viewers. "The Bride of the Monster" is for all those who are interested in the horror genre as a whole - one of the movies that inspired future horror producers. ...

Shock Horror (not a horror film actually)
Advantages: Vincent Price acting, story Disadvantages: Most of the other actors
...onto why she is in shock and doesn't know what to do. He doesn't want anybody to find out the truth, his mistress wants rid of the girl and the girl's husband keeps on insisting on another doctor's opinion. Made in 1946 this film was directed by Alfred Werker who made a fair amount of films including The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and Laurel and Hardy's A Haunting We Will Go. It was an alright film with a fairly engaging story, which was driven ... ...After committing a murder he didn't want to commit he is torn between different options. In one ear his conscience is wanting him to hand himself in whilst in the other Lynn Bari wants to keep their affair secret and will do anything to maintain it. He really is fantastic in this film as is Lynn Bari, however, the rest of the cast aren't so good. The shocked girl's husband Lt. Stewart wears the same uniform throughout the film, which is maybe what ...
