He must DIE, Mr. Thorn!

Advantages: Brilliant Film
Disadvantages: Maybe scary for some

The Omen is probably one of the few films I ever found remotely horrifying, not because of people getting their heads chopped off or throwing themselves off buildings, but because of the thought of the devil himself (or his son) living among us. Synopsis The Thorn Corporation and family are one of the richest and most influential families in the world Robert Thirn is the newly appointed American Ambassador to The UK. But money can't buy health, ...
...all their money can't stop the baby being still born. Mr Thorn (Robert) can't bear to tell his wife that the baby is dead, so he enters into an agreement with one of the priests at the clinic; they will swap the dead baby with one born at exactly the same time in another room, whose mother was on her own and died during childbirth. What Robert doesn't know is that the priest is actually a disciple of the devil and the boy he has just handed over ...

Do you know someone called Damien?

Advantages: I don't know of any
Disadvantages: It's not the origianl

I watched the remake of The Omen when it was shown of TV before Christmas. Yes, I know it's took me a long time to write this review before anyone tells me! I found the film to just be OK, it was nothing special. There was no atmosphere or a real sense of foreboding. I personally think that the film should have been a lot darker and it missed a lot of chances to be so. The two main characters, Mr and Mrs Thorn played by Liev Schreiber (who I used ...
...was not fully engaged in the movie. I thought that Damien was odd looking rather then creepy. The lad in the original had a scary look about him which added to the darkness of the film. I think that this was a missed opportunity and where the film lacked creepiness. I found Damien's mum to be wet and wimpy and the character ended up getting on my nerves. There were two scenes that did make me jump though, the scary face seen as a reflection through ...

Has the adrenaline pumping and screams coming

Advantages: scary
Disadvantages: none

The movie The Omen is a classic and continues to be one of the best and scariest horror movies I had ever watched. There was a remake of the movie even recently with Juliya Styles but that cannot compare to the older more chilling version. Usually, in this day and age horror movie lovers are exposed to so much horror movies that the older horror movies that once scared many people don't do much in terms of scaring people now; however, once you watch ...
...of a kind actually. The movie is still being talked about; so don't be surprised when you find yourself hiding your face and shrieking in terror at several points in the movie. PLOT: It is about a couple who's adopted son turns out to be the antichrist. DVD FEATURES: Director: Richard Donner Cinema: 1976 DVD: 30 October 2006 Introduction by director Richard Donner One deleted scene Audio commentary by director Richard Donner and writer/director ...

Disadvantages: Already seen...

...an horror. I chose this one just because I liked the poster... Last night (in order to create the right atmosphere? no, just because I have no time during the day) I began to watch it... it's a pity that I fell asleep and had to finish it the following night; that let you imagine how much I was involved by the movie! I admit I am disappointed... ~~ PLOT ~~ A girl peacefully sits down in her garden, when her cat attracts her attention and ...
...the tone is not the one the owner chose... on the display one missed call, made by someone known... a message in the answerphone: the voice of the phone owner who asks for help... the date of the call: the future. To the protagonist everything seems to be absurd, but she will see all her friends die one by one. With the help of a policeman she will try to understand what's happening and together they'll find the first of these calls and the common ...

Watch The Adoption Rates Plummet

Advantages: Scary, tense, good plot and acting
Disadvantages: Hardcore horror fans will be disappointed

...saw that they were watching Orphan I decided to sit and join them for a bit. I had heard good things about and didn’t know when I’d get another chance to watch it without having to pay anything, and wanted to see if it lived up to all the hype. Orphan is a horror film which was released earlier on in 2009, and is not to be confused with the Orphanage: a Spanish horror film which also came out fairly recently. Orphan is set in the United States and ...
...adopt 9 year old Russian orphan Esther, as they wish to give the love they had for their stillborn child to an unfortunate child who deserves a loving childhood. Esther is a fairly unusual child, choosing to wear old fashioned dresses instead of the jeans and t shirts as advised by her new mother Kate, and so she is made fun of at school. Esther seems like a fairly normal girl at first, or as normal as one could be for someone orphaned and adopted ...
