The Omen Pentology is by far the scariest set of films i have seen in a long time. i would highly recomend this pentology to anyone who loves horror films. each seperate DVD provides a whole new thrill. i would ensure that no one under 18 should watch some of these dvd's as their is a large amount of gore which is not suitable for young children. the omen films provide a large thrill for an entire family should it be a party or a horror night. either ... Disadvantages: An absolutely dreadful made for TV movie.

I enjoyed the original Omen series of movies, which began away back in 1976 with the original Omen movie starring Gregory Peck, and which (supposedly) ended in 1991 with the release of The Final Conflict, starring Sam Neill as the fully grown son of Satan, Damien Thorn. Advantages: May satisfy people with a desire for gore
Disadvantages: Lacking atmosphere, Paper thin plot, Overused story

...nothing to do with the Halloween franchise or the main character 'Michael Myers' so does not merit mention and the fourth was quite atmospheric and did show glimmers of promise but was generally routine. ...to read any of the Omen novels you'll find that they are filled with too much religion. I'm not saying that religion is a bad thing, please don't get me wrong here; but there really is much more religious insight than is required. The films that came off the back of the three novels realised that this was so and the screenwriters made sure that while the religious issues were addressed they were not overpowering like the novels. Disadvantages: The Curse storyline

...the film takes place on Halloween 1978, 15 years after a 6 year old killed his sister. The madman has now escaped from the asylum, donned a creepy mask, and headed back to the town of the original horror.
