There's a sting in this tale!

Advantages: Exciting, action-packed
Disadvantages: Bit too much for one film, flaws/holes in the plot

...king was doing handing over the rights to put this intio film i dont know.. it starts out with a kind of happily married couple and a man fixing a machine which talks to him, then one night he cuts himself and tthe machine comes alive,then he (the mangler) is on a killing spree with a mallet.. meanwhile a chain smoking father and son burglar team are watching, they case the house and the dad breaks in only to find he is trapped, the windows are ...
...help and trys to open the door to a room where a girl is trapped only for the mangler to return...the son comes in to help and the so called daughter returns from college it goes on.... its laughable i almost make it sound good when actually the whole film is very pooly acted throughout and has a terrible plot only worthy of the dustbin.......plus its only 1 hour and 14 minutes long thats not even a film!! if you want a good night in avoid this ...

Review of The Mangler Reborn (DVD)

Ok Horror Flick

Advantages: worth one watch - do it in 3D
Disadvantages: Didn't have 3D, probably would only watch once.

I really love a good horror film, and while I wouldn't say this is a great horror film - it is ok. ...as horror films go. It is very gory which works in this film. It is cheesy and doesn't really take too much thinking, but who's to say that is a bad thing - not me. Not everyone can see them, but oh! They are there!

Advantages: Very suspenseful at times
Disadvantages: Dragging the interim moments softens the horror blow

For the most part The Messengers is quite a good horror film. It has quite a few jumpy moments, some strong special effects, and some decent acting. The only problem with it is that it doesn't really do too much that isn't predictable, and when you get predictability in a horror film, then the tension has to be constant and tight. The truth is that at points it is very slow, and while this is naturally meant to extend the impetus with the horror ...
