The Prophecy is complete - Hell is Here! Advantages: Christopher Walken is a scary scary man Disadvantages: WOT No special features!! The Prophecy is Christopher Walken relatively unknown series of films. And short may this continue. I bumped into the first Prophecy film on a quiet Thursday night about 3 years ago and from the opening sequence you can tell the atmosphere of the film is of serious oppression and it is almost as if the weight of God looms large over this whole picture. But that may sound overly melodramatic at this stage. Absolute waste of time Advantages: none Disadvantages: everything ...and after watching the first white noise a few years ago and thought it was a pretty decent film. So i thought i would give it a watch and i absolutley hated it. Pointless film and absolutley mind numbing due to my own curiosity i watched it to the end and it was painful. The story was just too ridiculous they seemed to be stretching and the film then just becomes unbearable. A sequel to Dracula 2001? I think not... Advantages: Vampires Disadvantages: Straight to video budget effort At the end of Dracula 2001, the lead vampire, born from the death of Judas Iscariot lies dead - burning from a neon cross above the streets where a Mardi Gras parade is taking place... So we're getting a "sequel" and shock horror he wasn't really dead, he's been taken to the morgue, to be carved up by some dim-witted pathologist that takes an eternity to realise what is going on... Anyways she decides she needs dental records as he's burned to ... ...horrors after the success of Dracula 2001 (which he also directed), with a different bloody vampire character from the original! Stephen Billington isn't even in the same league of suave sophistication as Gerard Butler! Dracula feels like a kid in a butchers shop Advantages: It is a pretty funny film Disadvantages: not that sxcary though Dracula 2001 is the film that combines the classical tale of Bram stoker book in with the new age. Introduction Our story begins in London on the year 2001; Abraham van helsing (Christopher Plummer) owns a seeming innocent antique shop that manages to earn a pretty penny. Until a group of high tech super thieves deicide to go into the past of this shop and steal the only thing that they can find which happens to be an antique sliver coffin with ... ...opens it only to find Dracula (Gerald butler) now awake and very hungry and he celebrate his new lease of life with a feeding rampage on the plane. As we go along the story we find that van helsing had managed to stay alive for so long by using Dracula blood filtered by leeches to grant him a seemingly immortal life. Ok Horror Flick Advantages: worth one watch - do it in 3D Disadvantages: Didn't have 3D, probably would only watch once. ...murders begin again...... My Thoughts - - - - - - Following reviews that I have read I really wasn't sure what to expect. I didn't see this in 3D which is a shame and I would have like to. I really love a good horror film, and while I wouldn't say this is a great horror film - it is ok. I enjoyed it, liked the twist at the end, it was unexpected, but on the whole it could have been better. I have not seen the original and from what I have read it ... ...as horror films go. It is very gory which works in this film. It is cheesy and doesn't really take too much thinking, but who's to say that is a bad thing - not me. It is actually quite refreshing to have a traditional cheesy horror film - these days horror flicks can be very intellgent, this is basic and goes back to some of the 80s horror genre classics with he added bonus of it being in 3D. ...
