Say Hello to the Night Advantages: Fantastic Film with a great cast Disadvantages: Slightly dated for some people The Lost Boys Say Hello to the Night Sleep all day Party all night It's fun to be a vampire It may be an unusual take to write a review on a film which was created in 1987, though this, I believe, is one of those classic films that live on no matter how many years have gone past. I first watched it as a teenager with one of my friends and we fell in love with it straight away and years later I finally brought it on DVD and have already watched it ... ...as good special effects for the time, they are not so much a spot on the horizon for modern day special effects, though I feel this has to be kept in mind. OUTSIDE THE LOST BOYS The Lost Boys in title was originally in reference to the Peter Pan stories by J.M.Barrie and was directed by Joel Schumacher. littlt shop of horrors Advantages: a good fiolm for the whole family. Disadvantages: its abit old nowadays Delightful film version of the Off Broadway triumph based on the Roger Corman black comedy, carried off beautifully here by Howard Ashman and Alan Menken's memorable tunes. The plot of the film is A nerdish florist finds his chance for success and romance with the help of a giant man-eating plant who demands to be fed.The plant seems to have a craving for blood and soon begins to sing for his supper (the voice of Levi Stubbs). a great family film Advantages: funny and a must-see Disadvantages: may not be suitable for younger children ...and although I do enjoy the Rick Moranis remake, I do adore this version. Steve Martin is brilliant in the newer one, but Jack Nicholson rivals him for comedy performance in the original. Behind the comedic plot of a giant-talking-man-eating plant that needs more meat as it grows bigger and bigger, the story is rather sad, as poor Seymour tries his best to satisy Audrey ll (the plant) and the girl of his dreams Audrey. Land of the dead, one of his best so far.... Advantages: Plenty of Blood & Gore for zombie lovers Disadvantages: Not the best zombie movie out there Land of the dead is George's 4th zombie movie on his list of 5, even after all this time he can still today portray the zombie genre that I believe he created in todays movies. Land of the dead is somewhat unoriginal from the rest of his movies, he leaves alot of the thinking to his audience. From the very beginning of this movie he jumps straight into the zombie apocalypse. We dont know where they came from or how it happened, but there everywhere..... ... ...a good zombie movie. Land of the dead was a brilliant come back for George A Romero and he will continue to make brilliant movies to scare his audiences all over the globe.
