A Review of Covenant movie

Advantages: great special effects
Disadvantages: acting was little bit low

...good movie worth to watch. The great story line and interested. The covenant is a film about a group of boys who have some natural powers, they all have different power as compare to each other and as the approach there18th birthdays the get stronger and more powerful can do more damage However there powers to much has a consequence. The general view of this film seems to be that this is too similar to the craft which was about witches personally ...
...some great special effects and the story is completed in this one film, however some of the acting is a little cheesy but i don't think this film was ever made as a great masterpiece. But worth to watch this movie because this movie take your interest in it. ...

I... will you... my power

Advantages: Fantastic soundtrack and brilliant stunts
Disadvantages: A little far fetched

...friend of mine suggested seeing The Covenant at the cinema when it first came out I wasn't too enthusiastic but decided to go anyway. All I can say is that I'm glad I did, as the film I saw was fantastic. The energy, power but also the empathy it created was immense and the soundtrack one of the best I'd heard in a while. Looking at how others have rated the film however I think I may be on my own. Ok I have to admit that the story is a little far-fetched ...
...Personally I really enjoyed the film, I can't say it's one of my favourite ever films but it is certainly something I would watch again. The Covenant tells the story of four young students in Massachusetts, known as the Brothers of Ipswich, are joined by their sacred ancestry and powers are nearing the age, 18, where they will receive powers that are far greater than those they currently hold. The powers however come with an exceptionally high price, ...

A male version of The Craft?

Advantages: Special effects
Disadvantages: Cast, story not that great.

The Covenant is a horror/thriller very much along the lines of The Craft, except this time around the main characters are male instead of female. It is also another in the recent trend of so called horrors that doesn’t have enough blood, guts or scary moments to be really classed as a horror. It is a thriller rather than a horror and as a thriller it is not to bed, although they do manage to signpost the plot very obviously with the most blatant ...
...one of those ‘stunts’ in the trailer that persuaded me to watch the film. The photography in the film is amongst the best I have seen for a long time, everything just looks incredible, but then in a movie which is mainly about the cast looking good themselves who can be surprised that the makers have put a lot of effort into making sure that everything about their movie is very, very stylish. The story is all about the Sons of Ipswich, four 17 year ...

This series really needs to die

Advantages: It has zombies in it
Disadvantages: Milla Jovovich, terrible performances, a story ripped from other movies

...Paul S Anderson for creating Resident Evil: Extinction and allowing me to take a massive dump all over it. Now, despite everything I'm about to say in this review, I'd like it to go on record that I actually don't mind the Resident Evil film series. Yes, the acting is usually substandard, some of the set pieces would make a James Bond villain cringe, and they often stray so far from their source material that it leaves me wondering whether the writers ...
...At least, they did until Resident Evil: Extinction. Set several years after the events of the last movie, the T-virus has escaped beyond Racoon City and infected the whole world, turning virtually the entire population into mindless zombies. As the clumsy opening narration informs us, the virus also seems to have caused the rivers and lakes to dry up, reducing much of the earth's surface to a barren desert wasteland. Quite how a genetically engineered ...

Evil in Residence

Advantages: Twists at the start
Disadvantages: You've seen almost all of it before elsewhere

...twist at the end of Resident Evil: Apocalypse doesn't seem to have been used much which may annoy or confuse some viewers who were expecting it to be developed on. There are a few nods back to it now and then and Alice seems to have developed telekinetic abilities as well from no-where (no idea if that was ever used in any of the games having only played 1 of them). There is a lovely old school nod in homage back to the Hitchcock classic "The Birds" ...
...get going and would benefit from a cut of about 20 minutes (where the survivor caravan is established). The action in places is cut a bit too fast to be watchable but the film brings some new ideas to the Resident Evil franchise. (this review also appears on dooyoo) ...
