The Terror is terrible
Review of The Terror DVD by Phelthew

Advantages: I got for 99p (wait you want advantages)
Disadvantages: I wasted over an hour of my life. Well i laughed

...guy who has taken on the body and mind of teh duke. In my mind that pretty much makes him the duke. What else is left. There's nothing horrifying about despite the name. Ha God it's crap. I bought it for 99p and it's not worth any more than that. It's just so unbelievably stupid. This mightn't be the most articulate review ever but if you see this film you'll understand. It's also full of historical inaccuracies to name a few 1) Jack plays a napoleonic ...
...and he ends up beside the sea. 2) This Napolenic soldier dspite being really bad at orientation does eem to be quite clever as he has invented the revolver and given it to the onset of the 19th century 3) The Baron/duke who is apparently austrian but could be Italian if the geography worked out abit better prefers to adorn his castle in French and English standards rather than those of his own nation. But the greatest shock is Francis Ford Coppolla ... Read review

Great collection of Roger Corman films
Review of The Roger Corman Horror Collection (Box Set) by 666nekro

Advantages: 3 great films for a budget price
Disadvantages: Picture quality not too good

The films on the 3 discs are a selection of Roger Corman productions between 1960 and 1963. Little Shop Of Horrors from 1960 is first up.A young Jack Nicholson makes an early screen appearence. A dimwitted florists assistant discovers a mutant plant that can talk and must feed on blood to survive. The Terror from 1963 stars Boris Karloff and Jack Nicholson (again).Nicholson follows an apparition to a castle where he finds Karloff and discovers ...
...the directorial debut of Francis Ford Coppola.Family member are being bumped off by an axe murderer. Are the murders linked to the daughters death years ago? The three films are all entertaining and the packaging is nice but it would have been better if the films remastered.Overall though its good value for money. ... Read review

GORY
Review of Saw DVD by louloupot

Advantages: MAKES YOU CRINGE
Disadvantages: NOT SCARY

...beats all of the other saw films hands down. I will say that it took me two times of watching the movie to completley get it. I feel that the movie is not so much scary but has such a cringe factor which is what makes it so brilliant. The worst bt of the film for me is when the girl has to cut open her dead boyfriend to remove a key to save herself! Only he isnt dead so she kills him. The whole film was really great once i understood what was ... Read review

Marty's Gonna Get Ya!
Review of Sickle (Wide Screen) by RazzaLazza

Advantages: Suspense is built fairly well at times, the film is strangely quite appealing and fun.
Disadvantages: The acting is atrocious, the script is dreadful.

...around a man named Marty Sickle who once raped and murdered a young woman at the slaughterhouse he worked in. The girl's boyfriend and a few of his friends later came and murdered Marty Sickle, they hung him at the slaughterhouse and made sure he'd never be able to murder anyone ever again (or so they thought). Legend now has it however that if you break into the slaughterhouse late at night then Marty Sickle will come and get you. There's also a ...
...where he died then Marty Sickle will come out on a murderous rampage; it's said that the only way to stop him then is to chop his head off. Four teenage students here set out to put the legend to its test, they're off to the slaughterhouse with a video camera to investigate further the legend of Marty Sickle. Two couples undertake this journey to the slaughterhouse; two academically failing football talents and their partners, the two generic jocks ... Read review
