Meet your Nemisis! Advantages: action packed. Disadvantages: slightly wooly plot ...to conquer the movie world. Resident evil made a slowish start. The first film was watchable, and for a fan of the games like myself, it was entertaining. It seems, that the series is getting stronger, though, as apocalypse turns out to be a rip-roaring success. Highly enjoyable, and memorable for more than just Milla Jovavic (or, Milla yoyo-a-bit.). Yes she is a fox, but she could also kick your ass! The perfect woman! We left the last film with ... ...escape is thwarted by umbrella, the evil corporation behind the t-virus. Her friend Matt, who was the only other survivor of the hive, was also taken by umbrella, but he was taken to be in the nemesis project. Umbrella release the t-virus upon Racoon city. The city was chosen as it could be locked down, to contain the spread of the virus if need be. Then, into the zombie covered streets, the company unleashes its two champions. ghost who never went to acting school. Advantages: sometimes scarey Disadvantages: predictable When i watched thirteen ghosts my first thought was predictable and i could have written something similar during my dinner hour in work. Okay there were some original scenes to it but it starts off with a familiar story line of a family inheriting the house! woo thats original, and the house is home to ,wait for it, thirteen ghosts who want to be freed from their abode,[ the creepy cellar like place ]. Well where else would you expect to find them? ... ...and their intentions are not honourable. In fact they do kill some family members, but not all of them. The remaining kin discover the way to lock the door previously allowing the ghosts to escape and in return live happily ever after somewhere else!! I hope my review hasnt put you off wasting your money on purchasing a copy of this action packed [not] film. Resident evil Outbreak pack Advantages: kick ass action!! Disadvantages: Its a zombie movie. hmmm ...down (I hear it was limited edition??) If you feel the urge to collect everything Resident evil, then yes, this is a must have. This series really needs to die Advantages: It has zombies in it Disadvantages: Milla Jovovich, terrible performances, a story ripped from other movies ...Paul S Anderson for creating Resident Evil: Extinction and allowing me to take a massive dump all over it. Now, despite everything I'm about to say in this review, I'd like it to go on record that I actually don't mind the Resident Evil film series. Yes, the acting is usually substandard, some of the set pieces would make a James Bond villain cringe, and they often stray so far from their source material that it leaves me wondering whether the writers ... ...At least, they did until Resident Evil: Extinction. Set several years after the events of the last movie, the T-virus has escaped beyond Racoon City and infected the whole world, turning virtually the entire population into mindless zombies. As the clumsy opening narration informs us, the virus also seems to have caused the rivers and lakes to dry up, reducing much of the earth's surface to a barren desert wasteland. Evil in Residence Advantages: Twists at the start Disadvantages: You've seen almost all of it before elsewhere ...twist at the end of Resident Evil: Apocalypse doesn't seem to have been used much which may annoy or confuse some viewers who were expecting it to be developed on. There are a few nods back to it now and then and Alice seems to have developed telekinetic abilities as well from no-where (no idea if that was ever used in any of the games having only played 1 of them). There is a lovely old school nod in homage back to the Hitchcock classic "The Birds" ... ...get going and would benefit from a cut of about 20 minutes (where the survivor caravan is established). The action in places is cut a bit too fast to be watchable but the film brings some new ideas to the Resident Evil franchise.
