Ive read the other reviews of this film and was surprised that the people did not really like this film.I loved it.I found it brilliant in fact.It is bloody,insane,shocking and funny at the same time.I enjoyed this movie more than the first which was made in 1974.I found this one had a better storyline and had more blood.In the first you dont actually see any blood.Its all in your imagination. //////////////// THE PLOT ////////////// The film starts ...

Advantages: Lots of special features
Disadvantages: Rather too similar to some of Hooper's earlier works

avoid it like the plague

Disadvantages: the rest of the film

...king was doing handing over the rights to put this intio film i dont know.. it starts out with a kind of happily married couple and a man fixing a machine which talks to him, then one night he cuts himself and tthe machine comes alive,then he (the mangler) is on a killing spree with a mallet.. meanwhile a chain smoking father and son burglar team are watching, they case the house and the dad breaks in only to find he is trapped, the windows are ...
...help and trys to open the door to a room where a girl is trapped only for the mangler to return...the son comes in to help and the so called daughter returns from college it goes on.... its laughable i almost make it sound good when actually the whole film is very pooly acted throughout and has a terrible plot only worthy of the dustbin.......plus its only 1 hour and 14 minutes long thats not even a film!! if you want a good night in avoid this ...

Review of The Mangler Reborn (DVD)

A Chilling Classic Reminding You That Anything Can Happen...

Advantages: Colours are richer and crisper, the music is truely UNIQUE!
Disadvantages: storyline is basic but typical of that era, movie is short lived

The movie has been brought back to life in much clearer picture detail to tell the tale of 5 teenagers in an accidental situation of desperate survial against a cannibalistic family with a chainsaw weilding maniac in the deep south of rural Texas. Scariest Horror film ever

Advantages: You get a ton of special fetures and 5.1 surround sound mix
Disadvantages: The 2 disc ultimate edition is availble on region 1 dvd

...it this one is defiantly the one for you they say it was the most terrifying film of its time and up until 1974 nothing like it had been done before in my opinion it is better than any of it squeals or remakes so if you want to experience the Texas chainsaw massacre I would recommend that get this.
