28 plotholes later

Advantages: Effects are ok
Disadvantages: Overly dark for too long

Forget anything that happened in the original film because it won't be relevant to this one. Robert Carlisle is rubbish in this. But he's not to blame for the awful script & filming. This film suffers from all the problems the original did. Far too much filming in the dark or in low light where you can't see anything happening. Far too many fast cuts from shot to shot. The plague of the previous film is clearing and those wonderful Americans are ...
...formerly infected country but only in the cleared areas of London that have been declared safe. The plague is being researching (for a cure I assume) and the monkeys involved in that research are freed (infecting the animal rights protesters) allowing the plague back into the population. The fact that we're dropped into an attack right at the start and then shown the progress of the disease dying out in Britain, people being introduced back by ...

Nahhh.

Advantages: Good performanceby Robert Carlyle.
Disadvantages: Isn't directed by Danny Boyle, Isn't true to the format, Isnt as good as the original, slow.

...the plot, in the original, 28 Days Later, a virus has infected all of England, turning people into zombies. In a move which detracts from traditional zombie horror, however, the zombies are able to run -- fast. Before you can say 'typical sequel' the virus is under control and several hundred English survivors are contained in a facility supervised by the american government. Needless to say, there is a second outbreak. The first movie was incredibly ...
...directed by Danny Boyle (Trainspotting, 28 Days Later) were the films only main redeeming qualities. Particularly the opening scene, panning the whole of England from a helicopter and explaining the transition between the two movies in text form, as a downbeat, stimulation bass track plays in the background. This awesome piece of cinematography was very much akin to the original, but promised far more than the sequel could deliver. The characterization ...

28 Weeks later is nothing like 28 Days later

Advantages: Good for box set collectors
Disadvantages: 28 weeks later has no real story line.

I loved watching 28 Days Later, but unfortunately I did not enjoy 28 Weeks Later. It is not as good as 28 Days Later by a long shot. 28 Days Later was what I would call a typical zombie type horror flick, but I felt it had a good story line to. That is where 28 weeks later goes wrong. The main plot of 28 Weeks Later was to carry on from 28 Days Later but unfortunately it struggled to even do that. There is no real story line, it's just all about ...
...What I noticed most about 28 Weeks Later was it seemed more americanised, and I found parts of the film to me were aimed at showing the force of the US airforce. If I was rating 28 Days Later I would rate it as good, but as this is a box set and 28 Weeks Later was no where near as good I can only call it Satisfactory. Unless you are into box sets and you must have it, if I were you I would save my pennies. ...

How do the 28 Days/Weeks Later movies fare in high definition?

Advantages: Two excellent horror movies, good value for money as far as Blu Rays go
Disadvantages: 28 Days Later looks the same as the DVD version in high definition, no exclusive Blu Ray extras

...Which brings me to the 28 Days/28 Weeks Later Blu Ray double pack. Two of my favourite horror movies of recent years backed together in one high definition box for a very reasonable price (I personally picked it up for £9.95). But how does it stack up against other Blu Rays, and is it worth it over the DVD versions? Those are the questions, and I’d like to think I now have the answers. 28 DAYS LATER Directed by Danny Boyle (he of Slumdog Millionaire ...
...debate over various aspects of 28 Days Later. A common issue with fans of this genre is simply that the movie breaks certain ‘rules’ of the genre. For example, one perceived issue seems to be that the Infected run. And they run fast. Apparently this breaks the long standing rule that zombies shouldn’t run, and is something to be criticised. Further criticism comes of the final segment with the soldiers, with many claiming that it tries to send across ...

Death Note Movie Version (DVD)

Advantages: totally worth to collect
Disadvantages: if you not a DN fan or movie freak, then you will not really interested in it

Death Note (デスノート, Desu NÅto?) is a series of two live-action Japanese films released in 2006 and based on the Death Note manga and anime series by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata. The films primarily center on a university student who decides to rid the world of evil with the help of a supernatural notebook that kills anyone whose name is written in it. The two films were directed by ShÅ«suke Kaneko, produced by Nippon Television, and distributed ...
...as the "Death Note". The Death Note's instructions claim that if a person's name is written within it while picturing that person's face, that person shall die. Light is initially skeptical of the notebook's authenticity, but after experimenting with it, he realizes that the Death Note is real. Soon he is visited by the Note's original owner, a shinigami named Ryuk. After that meeting, Light seeks to become "the God of the New World" by passing his ...
