Kill A Zombie With A Frying Pan?...No Problems
Advantages: Good "Zom-Com" Disadvantages: May Be Too Gory For Some
I have always been a huge fan of zombie films and who doesn't love a good comedy? So with little expectations of cinematic genius and more hope for a lighthearted giggle, I headed to the cinema to see Zombieland. Based in a world where mad cow disease has mutated and effected the mass populous, zombies are running wild in the USA and there are few who have managed to escape being infected or eaten alive. "Columbus" is one of the lucky few, with his ... ...he isn't turned into one of the undead. He is joined by Tallahassee, Wichita and Little Rock along the way and the story follows the 4 as they try to survive and head for a theme park for a bit of normality during a zombie apocalypse...as you obviously would! "Tallahassee" played by Woody Harrelson is the tough guy who is the perfect balance to Jesse Eisenberg's character "Columbus" who is geeky and basically a little bit of a nerd. Emma Stone plays ...

Second installment of Twilight Saga
Advantages: Good special effects Disadvantages: Not good for team Edward fans
I've been waiting for this for quite sometime and I am glad it's finally here. I just went to see it and I have to say it is more or less meets what I was expecting. In this second installment, they have really stepped up with the game, with better costumes and special effects. The werewolves are great to watch. Having read the books, I think Chris has followed very closely to it and make some good changes to some of the less major scenes, while ... ...the cup of tea for team Edward fans as he only appears for the first and last part of the movie while the majority of the movie is dominated by Jacob(Taylor Launtner). Kristen and Taylor did a good job in bringing the chemistry and the kind of relationship between Jacob and Bella in the book. As in the book, some of their conversations gives me giggle!! Acting wise, I am quite impressed with Taylor. Being only 17, he managed to capture all the emotions ...

Camping in blood...literally
Advantages: Entertaining in a really bad sort of way Disadvantages: Dreadful story, acting, cinematography, script...
Following a visit to Camp Blood, during which she and her friends were attacked by someone wearing a clown mask, Tricia has been spending time locked up on a psychiatric ward, accused of having killed her friends. Although she was the sole survivor, it seems proof is thin on the ground, so Tricia is allowed to go free - but her psychiatrists think it would be a good idea for her to face the problem. This involves helping a creepy director to make ... ...and they head over to Camp Blood, safe in the knowledge that the person in the clown mask is dead. But is she really? If so, why are people dying horribly again? . As the sequel to Camp Blood, one of the worst budget horrors I've ever had the pleasure of watching, I knew what to expect, although I did hope that the story was going to be a little different. Unfortunately, it isn't really - in some parts we actually have flashbacks to the original ...

I don't recommend going out alone after this...
Advantages: Everything Disadvantages: The beginning is a bit slow
... Story
Quarantine is a remake of [Rec] (2007). Angela Vidal (Jennifer Carpenter) opens the film shooting her opening part for the news. Angela and her filming partner Scott Percival (Steve Harris) show us around the fire station. We follow them as they travel around with two firefighters (Fletcher (Johnathon Schaech) and Jake (Jay Hernandez) as they go out on a call. They arrive at a building and little do they know the horros contained within ... ...Days & Weeks Later) but Quarantine brings a new threat along with it. Before we never really saw how the virus would develop and the affect it would have. This time, we see how the infection spreads within a short space of time and how people easily loose their sanity. I felt this had a deeper impact than the three movies I've mentioned and the horror wasn't overdone to the point where it would become cheesy. The only thing about this film that is ...

When evil calls. (Basically wishmaster, but the british version)
Advantages: Good funny moments, and worth watching Disadvantages: slight rip off of wishmaster
The setting is a sixth form college, and the headmasters daughter is a bit of a geek and isn't very popular. She says I wish I was popular. The next minute her phone beeps with a text message. The message reads. "You have won a wish, forward this to two friends for the wish to come true." As she writes her wish a clown appears behind her holding some balloons. He is the evil geni or djinn as we find out later. As the message gets forwarded the students ... ...granted but not in the way the wisher expected.
For example a fat student wishes to be thin, he gets crushed by a bus against the wall. Some girl wanted to lose half a stone, and she ends up dropping something down the sink and loses half her arm.
Chris Barrie (Red Dwarf) plays the happless headmaster, who even as the body count rises justs insists, "Thats what kids do, they kill themselves."
Sean Pertwee (Dog Soldiers) is like the caretaker who ...
