Saw Trilogy Review Advantages: Great price, 3 great movies, Gore fans will love it! Disadvantages: None- I loved it. ...these are must see movies. Saw trilogy remarkably reworks the horror genre by adding a plot that is genuinely unique and keeps you guessing until the very end. There is no holding back when it comes to scene sheer violence and terror on screen as wrong doers are tortured. The strange part is that the killer in the movies does not think he is a killer, he believes that he is helping the victims. The people he tortures have all done something wrong ... ...to play a terrifying game to realise there errors and live better lives. The trap/death scenes are unique in each movie and will live you hiding behind your sofa. It's a must watch to see these scenes alone. A great addition for any gore fan. Do not miss Advantages: Another great film in the Saw franchise Disadvantages: Can't think of any! Saw 3 is the second sequel in this brilliant horror series, it was released in late 2006 a year after Saw 2. This is by far the most inventive film & also looks like the end of the film franchise as Jigsaw is on his death bed & eventually dies but of course is sheer Jigsaw fashion the games don't stop there. This film follows on from Amanda's 'friendship' with Jigsaw in her helping him with his sick games & also helping him survive his Cancer. Jigsaw ... ...another great film from the Saw franchise which like the others holds your attention brilliantly & has a lot of little twists throughout the film. The directors of these films love to keep you guessing & unlike some films which can be predictable this is the complete opposite. This film is as shocking as the rest of them. ... As weak as the water its named after Advantages: Jamie Lee Curtis looking hot Disadvantages: the silly plot Basically the plot is set in a school where Laurie Strode works and her son is also a pupil there, the whole school goes off to a camp but the son, his girlfriend, best friend and his girlfriend sneak away to stay behind inside the school leaving the school empty apart from them 5 and LL Cool J playing the security guard and token black guy to be terrorized by Myers. Why did Jamie Lee Curtis agree to be in this? She was good in number 1, whereas ... ...Lot's of things don't make sense. Like how Myers found her if she changed her name (to Keri Tate)? Was she still in Haddonfield? How does Myers get out of the bodybag? Those things really aren't designed to be opened from the inside. Why does no-one EVER shoot him in the head? It's just a huge spit on the 1st film. Each version getting gradually worse. A unique spin on old formula. Advantages: Looks gorgeous, soundtrack is amazing, creatures are memorable. Disadvantages: May be too dark for some. A unique spin on the Alice in Wonderland formula, this deeply personal work from Guillermo del Toro is a wonderful mix of fantasy, horror, fairy tale and of course drama. The scenes of an innocent young girl, becoming engulfed in the politics of the aftermath of the Spanish Civil War complement the more fantastical elements as Ofelia gets visitations from a mysterious faun. Del Toro fills the screen with his imaginative richly detailed visuals and ... ...Baquero. Not since Jodie Foster's turn in Taxi Driver have I been so impressed with a young girl's mature acting skills. Hopefully its a star in the making. You wish they hadn't bothered Advantages: none at all Disadvantages: littered with plotholes ...electrocution would have killed him beyond any shadow of a doubt. This is the 1st Halloween film to end showing us Myers is still alive. Every other film has either shown him dead or locked away or impossibly trapped. This film was dire.
