A film made in Hell

Advantages: its only a film
Disadvantages: is it?

The Exorcist (Directors Cut). I'm pretty sure that by now, most people would have heard about the Exorcist film, either Film, Dvd, Video or just from memories of parents. The later of this summary is what I'm basing my review on. I was one of many who stood outside the cinema in the pouring rain, of the first showing of this movie, at our local cinema in the early 70's. Brutal, Terrifying and all Too Real

Advantages: An extremely important piece of filmmaking.
Disadvantages: Shockingly violent, even by todays standards.

Advantages: good story line
Disadvantages: poor special effects

The Evil Dead ws written produced and directed by Sam Raimi and starred Bruce Campbell, Ellen Sandweiss and Betsy Baker. The film is about five college students and their holiday in the Tennessee woods, which turns into a nightmare when they find an video that is a key to unlocking evil spirits. The film caused alot of contryversy all over the world and many countries including Finland, Iceland, Ireland and Germany would not show it and germany ...

There is still alot of contryversy surrounding the film even today but you can now legally buy the uncut version. THE BEST HORROR MOVIES IN 2003

Advantages: Eerie! Scary! Spooky! Spine-chilling!
Disadvantages: After the movie, it makes you think twice about switching off the lights when you go to bed :p
