One of us the Monster? But we're British you know!
Advantages: This is one of the best films that Cushing and Lee made together. A classic. Disadvantages: Some of the dubbed voices are a bit distracting.
...Ridley Scott's Alien there was Horror Express. The claustrophobic confines of a train in place of the Nostromo as the hunting ground for a killer of extra-terrestrial origin.
This Fantastically eerie gothic horror, with Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee at their British best, is only let down by some of the dubbed voices. This is a minor quibble (it was an anglo-spanish production after all!)
THE FILM
Provincia de Szecuan, China, 1906.
Professor ... ...are to encounter on the Horror Express.
THE PRODUCTION
An anglo-spanish production filmed in sumptuous Eastmancolor, made by Benmar Productions and Granada Films in Madrid, December 1971. Entitled Panico en el Transiberiano (Panic on the Trans-Siberian Express) in Spain, it is more commonly known as Horror Express.
Bernard Gordon produced with Gene Martin directing. The screenplay was written by Arnaud D'Usseau and Julian Halevy, based on a story ...

Advantages: Its Cheap Disadvantages: Its a big let down

Cannibal Apocalypse is a terrible tease of a film, primarily because there is only one brief cannibal scene, not a horde of cannibals as you may expect from the title.. The "Cannibals" are suffering from a condition closer to rabies than anything else. They don't eat there victims, although they do bite them with the intention of ending life. Apocalypse was one of the first titles to ... ...way. His first movie was Cannibal Apocalypse but he did go on to make a series of other illicit horror titles City Of The Living Dead, Cannibal Ferox, The House On The Edge Of The Park. In 2002 he became popular worldwide after his role in Gangs Of New York and has been busy ever since.

Taking the Fun out of the Fair
Advantages: Very little Disadvantages: Poor story | None-eventful | Not scary at all
Wes Craven is a whore. Not in the sexual sense I might add, for that would be too disturbing to imagine, what I’m talking about is his liking to whore his name out to appear on sub standard horror movies in order to give them a little glitz and him a nice amount of money. Despite him being renowned for the Scream series his choice of films where he doesn’t have anything to do with them has been ‘interesting’ to say the least. Just because his name ... ...in favour of it. Wes Craven should hang his head in eternal shame for giving his name to movies such as this one though he’s probably too busy counting his piles of cash to care.

Gacy
Advantages: I got mine cheap Disadvantages: boring, slow, uninteresting
...etc etc by which point I no longer cared. Gacy wasn't protrayed as someone the town loved, he was portrayed as something of a joke to his neighbours and colleagues and I found the blurb on the the dvd case inaccurate as such. Avoid unless you find this really cheap! ...

Staying Awake Wont Save You
Advantages: Darker | Good references to past Nightmares Disadvantages: Too much dialogue | Minimal Freddy
...himself (Robert Englund) and creator Wes Craven also experiencing an unwanted presence. It turns out that Freddy is real after all, his persona made from the films he was born in and now he’s ready to cross over to the real world using Heathers son Dylan (Miko Hughes) to help him out a bit. Quite why Craven wanted to go back to Elm Street is unknown. For a person steering clear of involvement in the sequels it seemed odd he would want to resurrect ... ...producers and the home of Wes Craven…or at least the place he lives at in the film. Yet although (at the time) it was a fairly novel idea for fact and fiction to come together sometimes it seems the film is trying a bit too hard to be clever. The whole concept of the ‘real’ Freddy actually being trapped inside the films and him attempting to cross over is enough to make your head hurt, even having Wes Craven himself trying to make sense of it doesn’t ...
