A Bucket of Blood is one of my favourite classics. An enjoyable 'Wax Museum' genre that takes a slightly different approach. This time, the artist is actually very slow witted and has no talent, as you will see. He works at a coffee shop full of poets and art buffs and wants so desperately to join their world. ...horror or is it murder-mystery. To answer that question, i would have to spoil it. So, watch and find out for yourself, you won't be dissappointed. Unfortunately, The Ghoul is probably one of Karloff's worst. Karloff is one of my favourites, but he doesn't really act in this one. ...are very fake. But the effects aren't really that bad. But in the film they didn't use many effects because it is left more to your mind. *music* i think this is what made it a bit jumpy. The music is used really well to make you jump a little bit which is a good thing since it is a horror film. with this film i thought it was sort of scary. but since it was released in 1959 we have moved on a bit with effects so this didn't make it that scary. ... ...will not admit this. Well, 13 Ghosts wallows in the fact that it is trash, throwing in all of the above plus some nudity and self-deprecation. This does not work, mostly because the plot collapses under its own ponderous weight about two-thirds of the way through the movie. 13 Ghosts turns into the typical horror movie, with all its characters making stupid decisions while the monsters chase them.
