You wish they hadn't bothered
Advantages: none at all Disadvantages: littered with plotholes
...electrocution would have killed him beyond any shadow of a doubt. This is the 1st Halloween film to end showing us Myers is still alive. Every other film has either shown him dead or locked away or impossibly trapped. This film was dire. (this review also appears on dooyoo) ...

As weak as the water its named after
Advantages: Jamie Lee Curtis looking hot Disadvantages: the silly plot
Basically the plot is set in a school where Laurie Strode works and her son is also a pupil there, the whole school goes off to a camp but the son, his girlfriend, best friend and his girlfriend sneak away to stay behind inside the school leaving the school empty apart from them 5 and LL Cool J playing the security guard and token black guy to be terrorized by Myers. Why did Jamie Lee Curtis agree to be in this? She was good in number 1, whereas ... ...Lot's of things don't make sense. Like how Myers found her if she changed her name (to Keri Tate)? Was she still in Haddonfield? How does Myers get out of the bodybag? Those things really aren't designed to be opened from the inside. Why does no-one EVER shoot him in the head? It's just a huge spit on the 1st film. Each version getting gradually worse. Some of the action sequences are half decent, even the little nod to the film Aliens where Curtis ...

He's Behind You!
Advantages: Nail-biting tension, excellent villain in Michael Disadvantages: Drags in the middle, very dated
...and over again. Halloween is rated an 18 however the film doesn’t revolve around gore like the horror films of today do, instead Halloween makes it’s mark by centralising around tension and the sheer terror that Michael Myers brings to the town of Haddonfield. Michael Myers has an eerie onscreen presence, even when he’s not actually in a shot. His presence echoes throughout the film with the use of shadows and reflections that means that even when ... ...of gut wrenching gore however Halloween remains a successful horror film based on the atmosphere that it evokes, it manages to be genuinely frightening without a hint of bloodshed to be seen. This is a really jumpy film and there are many unexpected (and expected) moments throughout which leave the film understandably predictable but the journey is very unpredictable. It’s one of those films where you find yourself shouting at the scream, urging ...

He's Behind You... Again!
Advantages: Funny, scary at times, tension Disadvantages: Lacks the atmosphere the first film had, unintetionally funny, becomes a bit silly
...crazed Michael Myers did on Halloween of 1978, after trying to kill teenager Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) he seemingly met his end after being shot by his doctor (Donald Pleasance).
However when Michael is nowhere to be seen it would seem that Halloween is far from over for Laurie and Doctor Loomis. Laurie is rushed to hospital after her ordeal with Michael whilst Doctor Loomis continues on in his hunt for Michael before more people are made ... ...her at the hospital…
Halloween II is a direct sequel to 1978’s Halloween. Halloween II was released in 1981 but was set on the same night back in 1978 straight after Michael is shot. You’d think that three years on there might be some continuity issues but it seemed to me as though Rick Rosenthal had got everything right in this film, even it’s star Jamie Lee Curtis didn’t look as though she’d aged more than a day. If you’re planning on watching ...

If You Are Not Back By Midnight...You won't Be Coming Home.
Advantages: Good Old Fashioned 1980's Horror/Thriller. Disadvantages: A little bit dark in places.
...I first watched Prom Night many years ago when I was a teenager and I remember it as quite a scary horror movie of it's time. Maybe because it was one of the first horror films I had actually watched that made me remember it so well. Well I just recently picked Prom Night up quite cheaply on DVD and thought I would add it to my collection as it is a good film and one that I had enjoyed. My friends and I all talked about this film at School also I ... ...really. Well Prom Night was made in 1980 and stars Leslie Nielsen and Jamie Lee Curtis one of my favourite actresses from this era. The Movie is also directed by Paul Lynch. It was filmed in London Ontario Canada and was re-made last year in 2008. The Movie lasts for around an hour and a half and cost around $1,600000 to make, so was quite low budget really. Prom Night won a few awards shortly after it's release, from Best Achievement in Film ...
