Creepy crawly Advantages: good story Disadvantages: none really, pretty much an average film ...The film is called mimic because insects often try and mimic their prey and in this case the insects have the ability to look sort of human, humans being their prey. The idea is to kill the one fertile male which obviously they didn’t manage to do if they are making a second film!. The story is a very good idea and it’s told very well in this film. Fantastic special effects with great storylines! Advantages: Special effects, strong storyline Disadvantages: a fair bit of filming in dark places! ...scenario which is just has the uneasy possibility of happening in real life - this is your film! I think there is enough description in the Product header to give you a flavour of what it is about - you should also note that it is directed by the man who gave us Pan's Labyrinth (another must-see film). The first of the series, MIMIC, was quite well publicised at the time of release and is probably the best of the three. The two later films did not ... ...the basics are already known there is still a lot in the way of special effects and story line that is worth seeing. Oldschool guts 'n gore epic! Advantages: Great stylised visuals with a real retro grindhouse feel Disadvantages: Absolutely none! ...exploitation movies and Robert Rodriguez's Planet Terror is no exception.
