DAWN OF THE BLOODY DREADFUL

Advantages: There seriously aren't any. Its not even so bad its good. Its just painfully BAD!
Disadvantages: Its awful. Plain and simple. Sub-standard effects, generally poor acting and crap storyline.

...of 84 minutes of time. DAWN OF THE LIVING DEAD was originally titled CURSE OF THE MAYA. A title which fits the film more than the obvious cash-in re-titling. The story concerns an unlikely couple moving into a house they have recently bought from Ebay (until this pointless piece of info was imparted I actually thought the film could have been much older such is the piss poor quality of the digital transfer which makes it look like an early 1970's ...
...from a mental institute and Jeffrey Morgan (played by Martin Sheen's younger brother Joe Estevez) is her aged fiancee AND psychiatrist (surely there are patient/doctor laws against such things). Jeffrey digs up some remains, Renee seems to be going mental again and when she encounters Michael Richards (Heavener) working at a wind farm, passions run wild! Sigh. Richards' co-worker is the mentally retarded Alfredo Rubin played by Todd Bridges of Different ...

Is Jack back?

Advantages: A J Cook, creepy atmosphere
Disadvantages: Some dud actors, too many coincidences

Five years ago, Molly was one of a group of friends on an island where they had gone to spend a quiet few days. A serial killer is let loose and she was the only survivor. Despite her experiences, she manages to pick herself up and becomes interested in forensic science, which she studies at university. She finds it hard to fit in with her fellow students, but is equally shocked when one of her class-mates is brutally murdered just a few metres away ...
...short time later, another of the group is also murdered. It seems that Molly is the catalyst in these latest killings and that she may be the next target. Along with their class teacher, Marshall Kane, and one of the police officers involved in the case on the island, the group try to use their forensic science knowledge to work out the killer's next move. One thing is for sure, he/she is copying Jack the Ripper's techniques. Can they work out who ...
