PMS Can Be A Devil

Advantages: Disturbing, chilling atmosphere
Disadvantages: Not all it's cracked up to be; terrible special effects, some laughable bits

A film made in Hell

Advantages: its only a film

The Exorcist (Directors Cut). I'm pretty sure that by now, most people would have heard about the Exorcist film, either Film, Dvd, Video or just from memories of parents. The later of this summary is what I'm basing my review on. I was one of many who stood outside the cinema in the pouring rain, of the first showing of this movie, at our local cinema in the early 70's. Scream... it broke all the rules.

Advantages: Unpredictable. Good performances. Witty
Disadvantages: can be gory in parts

Scream (1996) was the one that broke all the rules and revitalized how the audience viewed horror/slasher movies as Kevin Williamson's screenplay and Wes Craven's direction found, and used, the satire in the genre.
