Heads Will Roll
Advantages: Quirky horror tale Disadvantages: Lack of special features.
...in dozens of movies previously Trauma was the first movie in which Asia Argento played a leading part. Here she plays a deeply disturbed young woman with bulimia called Aura. Things from her childhood have bothered her all her life, but she is unable to put her finger on exactly what it is. When her parents decide to hold a séance in their home, things come to a head; quite literally. During the gathering the house is plunged into darkness and Aura ... ...shifts in the case of Trauma it comes off looking a bit tacky. The worst example of this being a small boy chasing after a lizard, while it draws a bit of humour to the centre of the movie it seems very out of place, but in honesty for most of the movie any scene involving this boy seems out of place.
The film is all over the place, one minute you’re on the edge of your seat, the next your worried about how much longer the movie is going to go on. ...

Ruby Rain
Advantages: Cleverly Thought Out Story Disadvantages: Overlong
...he went to make it. Trauma was the outcome.
The cast includes a who's who of familiar faces Piper Laurie from Twin Peaks & Carrie, Asia argento his daughter now a well known actress and director. And not to forget Brad Dourif from Wild Palms and the Childs Play movies in which he played Chucky.
Whilst holding an Seance a unknown assailent attacks the hosts decapitating both before making off into the night. This leaves your Aura an orphan, she ... ...nifty device.
In typical Argento fashion, the answers are there from the first scene, but you just dont see them, look back and you will but on first viewing you just dont see them. Trauma is not one of his greatest works, but its pretty good Viewing. ...

Land of the Dull
Advantages: Some of the extras included on this DVD are quite interesting, decent special effects. Disadvantages: The film is very dull, the acting performances are incredibly poor.
...out and to protect the land of the living. Zombies are gaining in intelligence, they are not the inferior beings that they once were and as time elapses they are constantly becoming an increasingly advanced society. A revolution is planned to overthrow the leadership of the living, no one is safe as this film unfolds; the zombies are a constant thorn in the side of those still alive and remaining undead may soon prove an incredibly difficult task. ... ...'Undead Again: The Making of Land of the Dead', an interesting insight into how the film was made including insights from some of the actors, the films writer and director George A. Romero and producer Mark Canton also. It's not entirely engaging to hear about how and why they made this film the way that they did, but to hear George A. Romero's thought process and intentions in making the poor film that is 'Land of the Dead' I found to be quite interesting ...

Stendhal Syndrome
Advantages: gory, good scares and shocks, visuals Disadvantages: predictable ending
...you get when you see The Stendhal Syndrome. It is a movie for anyone who like lots of gore when watching a horror flick.
The movie belongs to the infamous Dario Argento. Most horror fans would have heard of this name. How can you not? The man has given us many 'Giallo' classic movies like "Deep Red" and "Suspiria". By the way, I have written a review on "Suspiria", so please feel free to take a look. You may be wondering what exactly is Giallo. ... ...everyone else this is the explanation.........
Giallo refers to the Italian translation meaning yellow. This colour was originally used for the covers of murder mystery and thriller novels. They became very popular in Italy in the 1930's and also 40's. These novels were really Italian translations from authors such as Agatha Christie. The Italians soon started to produce their own material. Most of them were heavily focused on sex and sexual perversions, ...

Old skool horror by the master himself
Advantages: occult oldskool storyline, good soundtrack, gothic scenery, great killingshots Disadvantages: none
...'Suspiria' and 'The card player". The tird mother is the final chapter of the Argento trilogy. The storyline itself is an occult oldskool theme about gateways to hell, ghosts and demons. Dario Argento combines some of the classic horror techniques and storylines and delivers us yet another very decent movie. The tird mother will never get hig imdb ratings but those who like the italian horror from the 80's or feel a bit nostalgic about the lack of ... ...movie without hesitation. For the metalfans out there it s nice to know that Dani Filth co-operated in the themesong of this movie. Conclusion: if you liked previous movies of Dario Argento you will love this one. Everything a classic horror movie needs is in this flick. Personally I would love to see more of these kind of movies coming out. ...
