Wish this would end

Advantages: None
Disadvantages: No Andrew Divoff, rubbish plot

...be more problematic to grant than the Djinn would have liked. Overall, Wishmaster 4 never quite makes it up the level of the original – due mostly to the continued absence of Andrew Divoff in the role of the Djinn and as such I would not recommend a purchase. ...

Wishmaster 3, wish it was a little better

Advantages: good storyline, suspense
Disadvantages: not scary enough

...as good as the original wishmaster but is still a good film. With one of her wishes she brings St Michael back to life, who had once imprisoned the djinn in an emarald. He can not kill the djinn, only Dianna can as she woke the demon up and he tells her what she must do to defeat the djinn. the film is good but needed that little extra to make it more scary. The effects let it down, as the death scenes seem a little tame, but I enjoyed the story. ...

So a bunch of eejits go camping, eh

Advantages: Funny at times
Disadvantages: Badly directed, nothing happens for most of film

Legal systems across the world and especially in the U.S.A. are notorious for a disproportionate amount of their criminal convictions being working-class ethnic minorities. But in this dull, baaad film we have eight young people all doing community service. They’re mostly rich, mostly white, mostly stupid and all annoying in some way. They’re being sent into the woods to clean it up over after the holiday season under the watchful eye of Ranger/wannabe-drillseargent ...
...majority of this film and by saying that I mean nothing happens for the majority of this film. Our characters all moan and are arrogant in one way or another despite being very obedient for apparently rebellious criminals. Rather than come to learn about their characters we just learn about their crimes, that are all far-fetched and also that basically that they’re all stupid. I mean the characters in this film are so stupid that it’s almost an insult ...

Anyone for a Bella sandwich with vampires and werewolves?

Advantages: Casting, FX, action scenes
Disadvantages: Drawn out romantic bits

...all, I woud suggest watching Twilight before watching this, as there will be a number of things that may seem confusing otherwise. Brief Plot Essentially, in a nutshell, Bella has moved to Forks, a desolately damp, rainy and gloomy town, to live with her father Charlie, the chief of police. She encounters Edward Cullen at her new school, they fall in love, she finds out he's a vampire. The first film saw a frantic chase and fight where other vampires ...
...the more impressive elements of Twilight was the FX adopted to show how the vampires move. The superspeed, the strength, the use of slow motion to emphasise these elements. All this is just as good, if not better, in New Moon, but is completely overshadowed by the superb FX used with the werewolves. It's the transformation element, and as the characters in their human form merge into their wolf forms, it's astounding. They do it 'on the fly', or ...

Shrooms

Advantages: Decent Ending
Disadvantages: Unoriginal

...[Film Only Review] Shrooms is a horror/thriller, which was released back in 2007. Written by Pearse Elliott and directed by Breathnatch, Shrooms is about a group of Americans travelling to an Irish forest to collect shrooms (magic mushrooms) and then to experience the weird 'trips' you get by taking them. The movie revolves around Tara (Lindsey Haun) who has taken one of the bad shrooms and is experiencing less than normal trips. The rest of ...
...shrooms and it's up to Tara to make sense of it all. Lindsey Haun ... Tara Jack Huston ... Jake Max Kasch ... Troy Maya Hazen ... Lisa Alice Greczyn ... Holly Robert Hoffman ... Bluto I was watching this because I had heard the name mentioned before and after skipping through all the various channels on Sky, this seemed to be the only thing worth watching. The movie lacks any originality, following a worn out idea that no longer hold any surprises. ...
