"I Can Have You When I Want!"

Advantages: A visual masterpiece
Disadvantages: Overlong and slighly naff

...he accepted the Role in Terror at the Opera he was feeling quite ill and realised that something was seriously wrong. Charleson vowed to do something far removed from his previous work and was a big fan of Dario Argento so continued with the project. Shortly after filming he fell even more ill was diagnosed with Aids and died a slow and painful death at the hands of the disease in 1990. An award was named after him in 1991 and is awarded to the best ...
...lose the plot a bit. Terror at the Opera is a prime example of this; normally his films look a bit wooden because of the dubbing, this movie has wood written all over it. Even a talented actor in a lead role could not appear to be well guided. Visually the movie is a treat; fantastic scenery and sets. Long drawn out imaginative killings involving household items, and a continued feel of menace for the films entire length. For most of the film you ...

GREAT film....The Hills have eyes.

Advantages: Shocking, unique, one to buy.
Disadvantages: the sequal was crap

...film, yes i agree with the other review, it does have shock value, but thats what makes it a good film!. Im very fussy when it comes to movies and theres not many horror films i actually rate, this movie however kept me watching it till the end, and my husband and i have watched this film a good 6 times atleast. The story line is predictable at first., with the young brother, mum and dad and good looking daughter, but for me it didn't spoil the ...
...When i first watched the film, i wasn't sure in the first 5 minutes because, when you first see the 'killers' it makes you laugh because one of them is stood at the top of a cliff eating a leg? but then as the film goes on you take it more seriously. This film is defintly a classic, MUCH better than the original which in my opinion was stupid and very boring. Amongst my friends and i this is a definite one to watch. ...

you can run but they'll find you

Advantages: Tension, twists, horror, gory, best ever film
Disadvantages: If someone tells you the twist!

Switchblade Romance (Haute Tension) A french subtitled film, tells the story of two friends Marie and Alex, they are about to embark on a journey to stay with Alex's parents at a farm. On the way they start freaking each other out, but it doesn't become apparent until they get there that something bad really is going to happen. The film is also available in France but named Haute Tension. Lots of blood and guts in this film, not recommened for ...
...to come out of FRANCE, and if you haven't seen it you are missing out. This is for people that like TWISTS in films, because this has a twist that has made me and my mates go "what the?". Basically Marie, likes Alex. She never wants anything to come between them. But now they are stuck in the middle of nowhere in Alex's family home - but "the man in a van" goes and kills Alex's family, brother and all... Each death is gruesome, each member of the ...

Non Ho Sonno

Advantages: Tremendous Rip Roaring Horror
Disadvantages: Overpriced

How And Why Sleepless Was Made -------------------------------------------- Dario Argento started his working life on spaghetti westerns; his collaboration with Sergio Leone on Once Upon A Time In The West is possibly his best known monie of that genre. Argento diversified his work by focusing on things that interested him, namely horror. Argento enjoyed the fact that he could take audiences a step further than they wanted to go. His horror work ...
...There is no doubt that Sleepless is not Argento's best work, but it's a really good contender for a top five of his best. From the moment the movie starts, you feel the tension. The feelings that you have about the plot from the start are usually a good indicator of how a Giallo film will end; not predictable, as the story unfolds the things that initially you thought are dismissed only to return later. All this aside you don't have a clue to the ...

Want a scare? Then Watch!

Advantages: Two of the best films of horror made
Disadvantages: Alien vs Predator a let down :(

...are the defining films of alien horror and have influenced nightmares and feelings that we aren’t alone. Not many films can make a nasty creature come to life and not only believe it exists but generally feel scared that if you faced one of these aliens you know you are dead. It’s the weirdest feeling to have but a feeling that makes these films jump out and make you believe that aliens can be far scarier and daunting to face than the stereotypical ...
...victims more intensely, add the alien skins its enemies and hangs the corpses gives the predator even more of a nasty and evil presence. key things to watch out for is Arnie against the predator you'll really get the feel of man against alien and you'll get behind Arnie to show what humanity is made of. Also T-rex (Jesse Ventura) tries to steal Arnie's thunder by being the biggest bad-ass and he is huge and with his mini-gun you really feel worried ...
