Advantages: An aesthetically pleasing collection
Disadvantages: Some rather poor inclusions

...of classic Hammer films from the very good to...not so good. An aesthetically pleasing set for fans of the studio, or those wanting at least half of the titles. Features star favourites Peter Cushing, Raquel Welch, Ursula Andress and Christopher Lee (about whom there is an interesting documentary with 'Scars of Dracula'). The extra features vary greatly, the biggest ommission, in my opinion, is the total absence of subtitles for the hearing impaired. ...

My personal favourite was the inclusion of the 1965 film 'The Nanny' which stars a very chilling Bette Davis in a well scripted, and often overlooked role. Probably a tad overpriced for most, but new DVD versions of individual films are also available, so take a look at some of those if you don't want to commit yourself to a full collection. ...

Saw Trilogy Review

Advantages: Great price, 3 great movies, Gore fans will love it!
Disadvantages: None- I loved it.

...these are must see movies. Saw trilogy remarkably reworks the horror genre by adding a plot that is genuinely unique and keeps you guessing until the very end. There is no holding back when it comes to scene sheer violence and terror on screen as wrong doers are tortured. The strange part is that the killer in the movies does not think he is a killer, he believes that he is helping the victims. The people he tortures have all done something wrong ...
...to play a terrifying game to realise there errors and live better lives. The trap/death scenes are unique in each movie and will live you hiding behind your sofa. It's a must watch to see these scenes alone. A great addition for any gore fan. "Do you want to play a game?" ...

The Vengeance Trilogy

Advantages: Saves you searching around for the usually expensive individual discs
Disadvantages: none

...is a masterpiece to behold. The South Korean Writer Director has set the standard for other movie makers with 3 amazing examples of vengeance flicks. Disadvantages: It finished :(

Evil Dead - Somebody resurrect it soon Please!!

Advantages: Funny and not at all serious
Disadvantages: None, if you like that sort of film

When i first heard of Evil Dead, i didn't know what to think. So i bought the Limited Edition Trilgy DVD. Just to see what i thought. And what i think, is that all 3 of the films are outstanding. Evil Dead 1 I believe it was banned in some countries when it was originally released, and this is understandable from some of the cheap effects and gore used in the film.
