big budget horror turns into low budget rubbish

The first Creepshow film - based on the old Weird Tales/EC Comics of the 50's - was a big budget all star anthology film. It was a collaboration between George A Romero and Stephen King (who even starred in one of the stories) and had stars like Ted Danson, Leslie Nielsen, Ed Harris. Best take on Vampire legend since "Nosferatu"

Advantages: Brilliant reworking of mythos, strong acting, visuals and music
