...effects look dated nowdays. It is also hard to relate, and hence feel any emotion to the characters - who dies and who survives does not really matter. The acting is pretty poor too. On many occasions when the character should be scared, the portrayal just isn't believable. Stephen Macht's accent in this film is meant to be a Maine accent, but sounds more like South African ! Review of Graveyard Shift (DVD)

Fancy some chilli?

Advantages: Scary,sick,funny,mad,Dennis Hopper and Jim Siedow.
Disadvantages: Dvd does not have many special features.Leatherface was abit lame.

Ive read the other reviews of this film and was surprised that the people did not really like this film.I loved it.I found it brilliant in fact.It is bloody,insane,shocking and funny at the same time.I enjoyed this movie more than the first which was made in 1974.I found this one had a better storyline and had more blood.In the first you dont actually see any blood.Its all in your imagination. //////////////// THE PLOT ////////////// The film starts ...

Won't Be Fooled Again

Advantages: keeps you interested
Disadvantages: seen it all before

April Fools Day (1986) Getting straight down to it, what we have here is a generic watch them die one by one teen stalker type film. The early to mid eighties were packed full of them. In essence April Fools Day is no different, even to the point of having another similar film with the same title released in the same year. Luckily they ended up using the weaker aka of Slaughter High (probably due to release dates), which is a gift as April Fools ...
...take the ferry over on April Fools and partake in numerous pranks, high jinks and japery. Haunted Funnymoon

Advantages: Funny, silly, family orientated
Disadvantages: No DVD extras

Haunted Honey moon is a comedy written/directed by and starring Gene Wilder. The cast also includes Gilda Radner, Dom Deluise, Jonathan Pryce and Jim Carter. The story revolves around 1930s radio actor Larry Abbot (Wilder) and his fiancée Vickie Pearle (Radner), who visit Abbot's childhood home for the wedding. The scares continue for Carol Anne

Advantages: Scary and good story
Disadvantages: Not as good as the first film
