Cute, Clever, Mischievous, Intelligent, NOT.
Advantages: there's lots of scenes with Cute Gizmo in! Disadvantages: there is none!!!
...obviously I was wrong. Also Gremlins is a great DVD but I watched it about 1 month ago, and could not review it due to the fact that I had a massive pile of Books to review. Anyway those reasons aren't really reasons, they are excuses... I would have reviewed this yesterday, although my heart was not into it... the reason is that 3 days ago my grandma died unexpectedly. She was healthy for all we knew, but she had a minor heart attack so my heart ... ...Billy breaks a rule and Gremlins spur from all over the place... The gremlins becomes the bullies and bully poor cute Gizmo. All kids would cry at that bit. But what will happen after? Will Gizmo be happy again? Will the gremlins die? What havoc will they cause? Would Gizmo leave? Or will he die? I shall not answer these questions, but you must be eager to find out.
There are 2 different covers, there's the one that you would find nowadays which ...

''Never sleep again..'' A Nightmare on Elm Street
Advantages: Clever Original /Great Slasher /Horror Disadvantages: None worth mentioning
...even though the film is a certificate 18. From what I could gather back then, from the way that kids were trying to scare the hell out of each other while re-telling bits of the movie,Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund) was a very bad and scary character from a horror movie which it seemed only the 'cool' kids of the class were either allowed to have seen or were brave enough to watch sneekily behind their parents backs. I however, being the sort of ... ...back just incase it had a bad word or mild violence etc ... was not ever gonna get near a movie like this , and to be honest, all the other kids talking about 'A Nightmare on Elm Street' probably scared me enough into not wanting to see it back then at age 10. I spotted this Brand New 2 disc special edition on eBay for £2.99, so of course I snapped it up. So finally at age 29 I was able to see this movie for the first time. For some reason I had ...

A Nightmare on Elm Street 1 - Freddy's coming for you ...
Advantages: A horro film with an interesting story Disadvantages: Some of the sequels should never have been released
***Why watched A Nightmare on Elm Street 1*** I originally first watched this film when I was younger, I can't remember how old I was but the film was first released in 1984. As an avid horror fan I have always tried to keep up to date with any new releases and this film has led to several sequels and a mini-series. My parents originally had a copy of the film on VHS but last month I bought myself a copy on dvd after reading some reviews stating ... ...I haven't watched it for a while, to be honest I probably last watched it around 10 years ago, but I could not wait to watch it when it was delivered. The film is written and directed by an iconic man, Wes Craven. For those have you that have only recently become horror fans you may have more recently come across Wes Craven with the release of the 'Scream' franchise. ***The cast*** Heather Langenkamp as Nancy Thompson Johnny Depp as Glen Lantz Amanda ...

King of the Zombie Flicks
Advantages: Inventive, fast paced, fun Disadvantages: Some weak acting
Return of the Living Dead (1985)
Okay, I’m in a good mood. So time to review something I really like. I must have seen this more times than any other movie. Way into double figures here. I’ll try not to be too biased though. Superficially Return of the Living Dead seems like another trashy horror film. It has excessive gore, violence, swearing and a smattering of nudity. But this film never claims to be a masterpiece and it is that humble attitude ... ...special make up effects right. Return of the Living Dead does so by the bucket load (literally). Allan A Apone heads up the make up team. He is a veteran of the Star Trek TV Series and Movies and major pictures like Swat (2003) and XXX (2002). He makes the living dead suitable dirty (after clawing their way up through muddy soil) and disgusting. They are soggy oozing, torn apart creatures. FX man Tony Gardner created a decomposed (upper) half corpse ...

The Final Chapter *snigger*
Advantages: better actors, action and direction Disadvantages: still no attempts at a real story
Friday the 13th Part 4: The Final Chapter (1984)
To refresh your memory again here is a recap of previous events. If you have not watched the previous films then skip this paragraph to avoid spoilers. In the original we discover that a young boy, Jason Voorhees, drowned in Crystal Lake, in 1957, due to a couple of careless camp counsellors making love instead of watching him. In 1958 the counsellors were murdered and the camp shut down. In 1979 ... ...only one person alive and serial killer Mrs Voorhees (Jason’s mother) dead. In Part 2 a new camp was to be opened on Crystal Lake but this time a fully grown Jason, returned from who knows where to avenge his mothers death, kills everyone in sight. Despite being stabbed in the neck he gets away, only to kill a group of teens in a nearby cabin in Part 3. In the end he is stabbed, hung and has an axe stuck in his head. Left for dead (?) in the barn.
