It's 1942 a young boy is playing peacefully I his bedroom. However, somehow it's a jigsaw of a naked woman he has and his mother is annoyed at discovering this and finding heaps of pornography hidden all over his bedroom. Surface gloss and the lust of Catherine

...that which ushered us into The Hunger ... a dimly lit night club with party animals strutting their stuff ... the beautiful people in the shape of Catherine Deneuve and David Bowie menacingly prowl the scene, shaded eyes seeking out their victim ... on stage Bauhaus perform their classic Bela Lugosi's Dead cult smash hit, with vocalist Pete Murphy going through his best vampiric monster impression, all ominous anticipation and bloodlust ... the song ...
...the corpses ... Deneuve and Bowie corner their quarries and spin them away in the night back to their place ... heavy partner swapping sees Bowie in the kitchen with punk chick, while Deneuve shreds the shirt of the dude ... succulent young flesh bared and clutched ... animal passion and moment of sheer lust ... and then in goes the knife for the blood letting ... 80s slasher that doesnt take itself seriously

Advantages: Hilarious films
Disadvantages: Terrible if you want serious film

The sleep away camp movies are all set around one psychotic killer Angela (played by Bruce Springsteens younger sister) but Angela is no ordinary Killer, oh no, She is a transexual one with strict morals! This sets the scene for one of the most bizzare slasher trilogys ever, using the tired out routine of crazed killer stalking teenagers at a holiday camp (yet another thing to thank Friday the 13th for) thse films manage to interject a great deal ...
...amorous young things with Pot and sex on the mind but former camp user (and a very camp one indeed) Angela doesnt tolerate that sort of thing on her watch. Que a slow methodical killing of the girls and boys at the happy camps (some ingenious methods, BBQing them, lacing coke with bleach etc etc) and she is absolutely not going to let anyone ruin the camp experience.
