He must DIE, Mr. Thorn!
Advantages: Brilliant Film Disadvantages: Maybe scary for some
The Omen is probably one of the few films I ever found remotely horrifying, not because of people getting their heads chopped off or throwing themselves off buildings, but because of the thought of the devil himself (or his son) living among us. Synopsis The Thorn Corporation and family are one of the richest and most influential families in the world Robert Thirn is the newly appointed American Ambassador to The UK. But money can't buy health, ... ...all their money can't stop the baby being still born. Mr Thorn (Robert) can't bear to tell his wife that the baby is dead, so he enters into an agreement with one of the priests at the clinic; they will swap the dead baby with one born at exactly the same time in another room, whose mother was on her own and died during childbirth. What Robert doesn't know is that the priest is actually a disciple of the devil and the boy he has just handed over ...

Has the adrenaline pumping and screams coming
Advantages: scary Disadvantages: none
The movie The Omen is a classic and continues to be one of the best and scariest horror movies I had ever watched. There was a remake of the movie even recently with Juliya Styles but that cannot compare to the older more chilling version. Usually, in this day and age horror movie lovers are exposed to so much horror movies that the older horror movies that once scared many people don't do much in terms of scaring people now; however, once you watch ... ...of a kind actually. The movie is still being talked about; so don't be surprised when you find yourself hiding your face and shrieking in terror at several points in the movie.
PLOT: It is about a couple who's adopted son turns out to be the antichrist.

The Prom Queen From Hell!
Advantages: A really good film adaptation of a great book Disadvantages: None apart from a slightly wooden Travolta performance

~~~Synopsis~~~
Carrie White (Sissy Spacek) is a lonely young girl, osctracised by her peers in high school for being "weird" and repressed at home by her religiously fanatical mother Margaret (Piper Laurie). All she really longs for is to be accepted by the other girls and live a normal life. Unfortunately for Carrie she experiences her first period at the age of 17 in the showers of the girls locker room at school. Terrified, she does ... ...of the girls who taunted Carrie is Sue Snell (Amy Irving). She feels terrible about what happened and so she asks her boyfriend Tommy Ross (William Katt) to take Carrie to the Prom . Sue feels that in some way this may make up for the way that she treated Carrie in the locker room. After some persuasion Carrie finally agrees to go to the prom with Tommy.
Chris Hargensen (Nancy Allen) has other ideas. Because of what happened in the locker room (Hargensen ...
Strange Little Man
Advantages: Another great Roman Polanski film Disadvantages: The films dub could put off some people
...will keep you guessing to the very end. Trelkovsky (Polanski) moves in to a recently vacated apartment situated in lovely Paris (what could be better), but soon finds that the building holds strange peculiarities (and I'm not just talking about the fellow tenants). What are they really up to? What really happened to the previous tenant? .. and do I look good in a dress????
It's maybe not as quirky as The Fearless Vampire Killers or as chilling as ... ...his time in front of the camera, he still manages to create some very interesting shots that you'd expect from one of his films.
The dub gets a little lost in places, but I found that this tended to add something special to the overall dreamy feel of the movie. It's a shame the DVD version hasn't any extras as it would have been nice to find out a little more about the films concept. On the hole It's well worth checking out (or should I say checking ...
Pure art committed to celluloid
Advantages: Pure film; work of art; dark, haunting, disturbing ... truly stirring; fantastically made Disadvantages: Misunderstood; does not appeal to a wide audience and does not try to
...for David Lynch, who with Eraserhead has created a film that is as beautiful as it is strange, a film that speaks through warped imagery rather than dialogue and really excels in this more than any other film. Henry (Jack Nance) lives in a post-apocolyptic neighbourhood of run down buildings and mounds of ash and coal. The smog of industry fills the landscape. Henry's world is one that is a limbo between hell and paradise. From the opening frame, ... ...This does not mean that Eraserhead is entertaining or enjoyable viewing; Lynch aims for the opposite. The film strives to appall with the hellishness of its imagery and by no means tries to evoke a positive feeling in the viewer. Eraserhead confuses whilst making the viewer relate to it, and as it gradually lags on, remains consistent in its weirdness until the credits roll. Everything about Eraserhead is directorally and technically perfect. Lynch ...
