Those Damn Dirty Apes!
Advantages: Some great real-life FX. SO bad its Good! Disadvantages: Some terrible FX, Acting, and sets. Very Dated
...title says it all - Night of the bloody apes…. Well actually its more like bloody ape, - there's only one of them. The movie opens with a laughably 60's style female wrestling match and then swiftly moves on to follow one mans plight to save his dying son, trying to cure his leukaemia by means of an ape to human heart transplant. Surprisingly the operation is a complete success but by the time we've endured another 10 minutes or so of wrestling things ... ...son turns into an ape-man. Gee I never saw that one coming. The transformation from man to ape is hilarious, a shot of a man in very bad ape make-up is slowly faded in on top of the doctor's son. "I was prepared for everything but this" cries the disappointed doctor as his ape-like son (man in ape mask) goes on the rampage, raping and ripping apart everything insight.
The dialogue is mint, and is further enhanced by atrocious dubbing. A choice example ...

Let's Hear It For Campy British Horror - YAY!
Advantages: Great cast, entertaining, mix of genres Disadvantages: Not to everyone's taste
The House That Dripped Blood is a camp horror film, which lasts 97 mins and is rated a 12. I bought it from Amazon UK for just £3.98, which I felt was a great price. I have recently got into watching horror – but only the old, classic era ones from the 1970s or earlier, definitely not the modern gore-fests. To me, I like a good cast, traditional horror elements and a fair bit of suspense. I am not interested in huge amounts of blood and on-screen ... ...instead loving the old Vincent Price films and the like.
I first heard of The House That Dripped Blood after reading a review of it on Dooyoo by Jake Speed and it sounded just my kind of thing. I was not disappointed.
Despite its horrific cover, the film itself is not nearly so frightening. Filmed at Shepperton Studios, it has a stellar mainly-British cast (Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing, Jon Pertwee, Ingrid Pitt, Denholm Elliot, Joss Ackland, ...

A vampire classic
Advantages: Characters, sets, atmosphere, score, made with good taste Disadvantages: None
First film in the great Karnstein trilogy, followed by a flawed little masterpiece Lust for a vampire (1970) and wonderful Twins of evil (1971) , The Vampire lovers is based on (Joseph) Sheridan LeFanu´s 1872 vampire novella Carmilla. Written by Tudor Gates from the story by the producers Michael Fine and Harry Style, The Vampire lovers is set in early 19th century Styria and it follows lesbian vampire beauty Mircalla Karnstein (Polish-born Ingrid ... ...daughters. Peter Cushing plays the revenge-minded father and Madeline Smith has equally impressive role than Pitt as the wide-eyed, innocent heroine with reddish hair and pretty negligees. This elegant, richly Gothic vampire romance has wonderful sets of mansions, castles and graveyards, natural but strong colours of Hammer Studios´1970´s Technicolour, and some very mild nudity. One of the bes films from Hammer Studios and much, much better than ...

I, MONSTER - NO I'M NOT - WHO TOLD YOU THAT?!
Advantages: part of cinema history Disadvantages: poorly filmed, very dated now
This film is set in 1906 with Christopher Lee's character Marlow experimenting with a drug which produces one of three states of the human psyche, in his case resulting in Blake. The film follows his fall from normality and sanity as he loses all sense of morality.
Although the film credits Robert Louis Stevenson for writing the story, it changes the main character's names to Dr. Marlowe and Mr. Blake. The film was initially filmed in 3D, then partway ... ...did this, but it makes the film seem very strange in places!.
I think that that Lee makes a very memorable Jekyll/Hyde. Lee's portrayal is a more even-tempered character than is sometimes portrayed in these films..
He hates violence and wants to bring it to an end by taking this part of the person's character away from them.
SUMMARY
++++++++
This is a classic storyline, told with a slight twist but fails to deliver I feel. The film looks very ...

Death Note Movie Version (DVD)
Advantages: totally worth to collect Disadvantages: if you not a DN fan or movie freak, then you will not really interested in it
Death Note (デスノート, Desu NÅto?) is a series of two live-action Japanese films released in 2006 and based on the Death Note manga and anime series by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata. The films primarily center on a university student who decides to rid the world of evil with the help of a supernatural notebook that kills anyone whose name is written in it. The two films were directed by ShÅ«suke Kaneko, produced by Nippon Television, and distributed ... ...as the "Death Note". The Death Note's instructions claim that if a person's name is written within it while picturing that person's face, that person shall die. Light is initially skeptical of the notebook's authenticity, but after experimenting with it, he realizes that the Death Note is real. Soon he is visited by the Note's original owner, a shinigami named Ryuk. After that meeting, Light seeks to become "the God of the New World" by passing his ...
