"There'll be no morning for us" - Hopefully not Helen.
Advantages: Christopher Lee, great imagery Disadvantages: Lots of boring dialogue
...what happened in the last Dracula film with Van Helsing (Peter Cushing) destroying Dracula by forcing him to enter daylight where he crumbles into dust. It is ten years later, in Transylvania and the body of a young girl is being carried out into the forest by a sombre group who all look like English puritans and all with English accents. They’re going to stake her through the heart as they believe she has been bitten a vampire. A distraught mother ... ...in a ritual sacrifice brings Dracula back to life with the blood of Alan. And the proverbial hits the fan and about time, it took forever for Dracula to arrive in this film. What I Thought I at first intended on reviewing all the Dracula films in this Christopher Lee series, however, I couldn’t find the first one but this film can stand on it’s own. All you really need to know is that Dracula is a vampire and Van Helsing vanquished him into a ...

The ultimate question: Who is Jack the Ripper ?
Advantages: Sherlock Holmes transends all ages Disadvantages: Jack the Ripper stories are two-a-penny in the making
...which in this case was a complete lack of acting by Donald Houston.
The ever popular duo, join forces with Doctor Watsons brother Mycroft (Robert Morley) in a bid to catch the crazed killer of prostitutes. Director James Hill re-creates the Whitechapel of the Jack the Ripper era with evident relish, and the solution is a corker.
This film combines all the elements beloved by fans of Sherlock Holmes resulting in a satisfying and well-acted mystery ...

those brits and their great anthologies...
Advantages: great british anthology horror. Disadvantages: none.
i just LOVE british anthology horrors, and "doctor terror's house of horrors" is no exception. starring horror greats peter cushing and christopher lee, "dr. t's" offers a group of spine-tingling tales guaranteed to please.
five men are on a train when they meet a mysterious character, dr. terror. this gentleman shows these five horrible "things to come"...or have they already happened? the ending will surprise you.
out of all the segments, i personally ... ...whose house is overrun by deadly vines, the one about a young man who thinks his wife may be a vampire (but is someone else just getting rid of the competition?), and the one starring christopher lee about a critic who causes an "accident" to happen to an artist who insulted him. the artist loses his hands and takes his own life as a result, but those hands just can't seem to stay inactive...yes, the idea has been touched upon before ("the beast ...

Into the Sinking
Advantages: Some nice Stoker references, exciting climax Disadvantages: Tedious exposition, no dialogue for Lee
...not the best of Hammers Dracula cycle, 'Prince of Darkness' sits in a comfortable third position, with plenty of good moments, but lacking the imagination that so defined it's predecessors, 'Dracula' (1958) and 'Brides of Dracula' (1960). 'Brides' lacked Christopher Lee in the pivotal role, and instead the lead character is a disciple who battles with Cushings Van Helsing. By 1965 Christopher Lee had returned from tax exile in Switzerland and was ... ...naturally, who stumble upon Castle Dracula after being abandoned by a terrified coach driver. We get lots of bickering and visits to and from the castle, and the set-up is a little overdrawn even if it does allow returning director Terence Fisher to shoot some atmospheric scenes within the castle. There are some good moments with the introduction of Klove (Philip Latham), Dracula's servant - an odd continuity blip. The naive tourists, two couples, ...

Death Note Movie Version (DVD)
Advantages: totally worth to collect Disadvantages: if you not a DN fan or movie freak, then you will not really interested in it
Death Note (デスノート, Desu NÅto?) is a series of two live-action Japanese films released in 2006 and based on the Death Note manga and anime series by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata. The films primarily center on a university student who decides to rid the world of evil with the help of a supernatural notebook that kills anyone whose name is written in it. The two films were directed by ShÅ«suke Kaneko, produced by Nippon Television, and distributed ... ...as the "Death Note". The Death Note's instructions claim that if a person's name is written within it while picturing that person's face, that person shall die. Light is initially skeptical of the notebook's authenticity, but after experimenting with it, he realizes that the Death Note is real. Soon he is visited by the Note's original owner, a shinigami named Ryuk. After that meeting, Light seeks to become "the God of the New World" by passing his ...
