My Hero

Advantages: Good spooky film, easy to get a hold of, not too long
Disadvantages: bit dated

...be scared silly of the Frankenstein Monster films and I think this was the one that scared me the most. It's very short, only just over an hour long, and probably not very scary if you watch it now as an adult but when you are young it's terrifying. It's in black and white was made in 1931 so it's almost as old as me! It stars Colin Clive as Doctor Frankensein who is on the quest to make a real live bloke out of the dead parts of other blokes. ...
...the brain (or head) of Frankenstein gets swapped with the brain (or head) of a mad man and then all hell breaks out. It stars our hero Boris Karloff as the most unattractive 'son' of Frankenstein and you have to feel sorry for the guy as nothing seems to go right for him. Lasses just run of screaming when they see him as his 'dad' made him look proper unattractive, with an odd face and a humpy back. Frankenstein also has a really funny (strange) ...

Dracula 1931. Dracula, the name itself meaning (meaning the son of the devil) is enough to send anyone running for the nearest cushion to hide behind. I Remember watching this early black and white version , when I was a kiddie with my brother and sisters, when Mum and Dad was at the Bingo. All of us crushed up on the settee with our fingers covering our eyes only daring to peek through the gaps, when we felt it was safe. So being a bit of a ...
...bats the Legend of Count Dracula was born by the written hand of Bram Stoker. This movie brought about the fame of the late Bela Lugosi with his portrayal of Dracula, a part which he was now used to playing as he had played Dracula on Stage for several years, and managed to bring this character to life realistically on the big screen. Lugosi portrays Dracula as a suave, sophisticated Nobleman, with the charm and hypnotic stare that will have any ...

the most important horror film ever made

Advantages: review
Disadvantages: biased

The most important, horror movie ever made, with Boris Karloff joining the immortals as the flat headed,big-booted,sad eyed monster-whom director James Whale made a resonant figure by dressing him up like one of the scarred WW1 veterans then on the skids all over America. Colin Clive,s neurotic mad scientist and Dwight Frye,s hunchbacked brain dropper, collaborate on the making of a man,but the innocent turn,s savage when mistreated by all and ...

Death Note (デスノート, Desu NÅto?) is a series of two live-action Japanese films released in 2006 and based on the Death Note manga and anime series by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata. The films primarily center on a university student who decides to rid the world of evil with the help of a supernatural notebook that kills anyone whose name is written in it. The two films were directed by ShÅ«suke Kaneko, produced by Nippon Television, and distributed ...
...as the "Death Note". The Death Note's instructions claim that if a person's name is written within it while picturing that person's face, that person shall die.
