Disadvantages: The Tribe being the cheesiest vampire movie.. ever!

...Lost Boys is one of the best vampire movies out there, which upon opening quicky assumed cult status and for good reason. Joel Schumacher, the director behind other films such as 8mm, Flatliners and A Time to Kill, boldly combines horror and comedy and gives us a film, that even lacking in substance, you can really sink your teeth into (sorry!). It is an 80's classic, with unforgettable outfits and an even more unforgettable soundtrack. The casting ...
...and even though the performances of Haim and Feldman are, to put it politely, rather camp, he pulls it off. Lost Boys 2 is another matter altogether. I have to admit to being excited on hearing it was being made but to be honest it was not really worth the wait. Why Feldman decided to star i do not know.. surely the money from Goonies and Gremlins has not run out? The casting of 2 young and exceptionally good looking males kept me interested though ...
