HOMEWARD BOUND
I am writing a review on the Disney Movie Homeward Bound - the Incredible Journey.
THE DVD COVER
The cover of the DVD is very appealing, it is a picture of three animals walking, with the sunset in the background. Very scenic and beautiful. I really like the choice of DVD cover the used, it let's the audience know that the story is about these animals without mentioning them. As the title does not give away the storyline.
The STORY ITSELF
This movie is about the thrilling experiences of three animals - Chance, Sassy and Shadow when they are separated from their owners, and decide to make their own way home. These three incredible animals express their feelings throughout the movie with real human voices. They encounter a lot of different events in their journey, but they all stick together and keep going. Sassy is a female cat, who thrives on affection. Shadow is the older dog, the golden retriever, who is the loyal dog of the family and chance is the pup, hyperactive and does everything wrong. This is the story of love and affection and trust. Amazing .
My OPINION
I first saw this movie years ago when I was very young, and I just loved it, I love animals - especially dogs so I was instantly attracted to this movie. The fact that they used human voices to denote how the animals were feeling, it made the film more interesting, you got to see the personalities of each individual animal. And also the challenge of guessing who is doing each character without reading the movie cast. The storyline - I think it was amazing, the story of three animals in Los Angeles, working together to try and make their was home without getting in trouble or getting hurt. Very good, and unique story - no other movie as far as I know has done this storyline. The cast - I really enjoyed the cast in this movie, there was the cast of the three animals as well as the cast of the family. The three animals obviously are the main cast in the movie and all three of them were excellent, they made their characters in the movie. They portrayed their character s feelings and opinions perfectly. You could understand how each animal felt throughout. Very good. Any animal lover would enjoy this movie, its very family friendly. So its fun for all the family.Even if you are not a animal lover, you cudnt not enjoy this movie, its so heart felt and emotional. Brilliant. I highly recommend this to Everyone. Its well worth watching. Its not expensive and its still available at most video stores. It can be bought in HMV for £5 - thats were I got it. Enjoy.
